Is the LCD working (can see characters) ?

Follow the instructions from the FAX 2920 user manual

If your machine is a Brother Intellifax 2920, it does take a TN-350 toner cartridge. Maybe you were wanting to replace the Drum Unit instead, DR-350. I'll bet this info is useful, yes?

1.Open the front cover.

2.Press the options key on the control panel. The display will show
#REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO#.

3.Press 1 to reset the drum count.

4.Close the front cover.

This is a fault with the main pcb. The only cure is to have it replaced.

Ok so changing the drum has not resolved the problem. I suspect you have a bad contact between the machine and the drum. Its been a while since i have worked on a 2920 but i remember a case of a drum problem which turned out to be a poor contact from one of the contacts on the left side of the machine. Also take another look inside where the drum sits and you will see two runners that are spring loaded. the drum rests on these and i have known the springs to jump out and the runners have become stuck. of course this allows the drum to sit incorrectly and that may cause the error.

It may be they have been sending the fax several times using ring back, if you go into the menu there is a setting to clear memory this should stop the copies.

I don't know if you've got the problem still now (the post is 4 months ago) but the solution is:

open the front door
press the key options
press the blue key
press 1 and 0
close the door
turn off and on

The problem is most likely that the eject area is fouled. Other than that clean the rollers especially the last roller in the chain with Isopropynol. If that doesn't work, check that the roller is moving, if not replace it.

Your machine is a laser type fac (not inkjet). It does,t use ink, but toner. To learn how to replace the toner cartridge you should read the User's Guide.

Look for section "Troubleshooting and routine
maintenance" / Replace the Toner Cartridge / How to replace the toner cartridge and Replacing the Drum Unit (pags. 112 and following of the User's Guide).

This is a common problem on the fax-2920. It is caused by a build up of dust and dirt on the ejection roller that stops it from grabbing the paper as it is fed up towards it. To fix it you have to remove the fuser unit for access and wipe all four of the little rubber wheels over with alcohol. Put it all back together and it should be all good!

THERE IS SOME THING BLOCKING THE PAPER PATH, MAY BE PAPER OR SOME THING FELL IN THE MACHINE GOOD LUCK BROTHER TECH

it seems like there is some dirt or correction fluid on the scanner glass ,flip open the cover where the documents feed in you will see a glass ,clean this glass with a damp soft cloth this should solve the problem

Open up the machine and move the blue slider back and forth 10 times to clean the drum charge wire.

Turning off Remote Fax
Options
1 Press Menu/Set, 2, 5, 1.
2 Press ▲ or ▼ to select Off.
Press Menu/Set.
3 Press Stop/Exit.

If after doing this, you may get a message "Erase all fax?" with 2 options, 1.YES 2. NO
Simply select YES to erase all Fax stored in memory.
