Never use bobbins that are not made for your machine. Possibility of further damage is high using parts meant for a different machine. this happens to me when i have put my bobbin in upside down (i know sounds nuts) but yes it is possible for it to be in wrong, take it out and turn it over make sure you feed the thread as shown on your machine ...pull the needle thread tight and turn it will catch if its the right way up and threaded right...good luck

have you made sure that your bobbin thread is going into the case going back on itself rather than threading directly into the bobbin case slit. This creates tension. Also check the thread take up as you hand wind the fly wheel. If the tp and bottom threads are not catching each other from the bobbin hook then it could be that the timing has gone out of sync. If you can get hold of a Readers Digest sewing book there are good operational drawings of how the bobbin and needle coordinate.

try changing the needle--it's possible that something is wrongwith the tip of the needlecheck on the needle plate for burrs--if you find any gently use a fileto remove them--but not enough to damage the needle platealso check in the bobbin area for burrs
