Video problems with wow

Sorry, but you need to provide more details about your system before a relevant answer to your question can be posted.
  • Is this a persistent problem? Does it happen after rebooting? Every time you play WOW? When did the problem first occur? Does it happen when WOW is the only program running? Etc.

Update for SiS 2615 Display Adapter to load windows XP pro

The PC Chips MB PCCHIPS SiS746FX M848A V5.0 462 motherboard does not have onboard video, correct? So if you can obtain the make and model of your video card, you can then find the Windows XP drivers online for download. Then you would be able to provide said drivers when the "system asks you to update SiS 2615 Display Adapter driver" *Another quick fix would be to use a different VGA card, if you have one available?*Now, I have never been prompted to update display driver before or during a windows installation or update. So that step I would require a little more detail on. I have only been prompted for mass storage drivers (as seen in screenshot). update-sis-2615-display-adapter-load-hplvg2om5ybidfrvvqtji5z5-3-0.png

Cmos clock will not set !

Is the cmos clear jumper in the wrong position? if it is it will drain the battery and mess up the clock, You may have to flash the eeprom with a newer version BIOS obtainable from the manufacturer, check their website on this to see if it is a known issue ( I have seen this on multiple other manufacturers main boards). If this isnt it it is possible you have a bad clock chip

Hi i have a problem with panel1 on M848A v5.0

OK, this is for all the idiots who reply and offer NOTHING. You need more info, model and ver? HE ALREADY GAVE ALL THAT INFO.
Type "M848A v5" in google and you will see it is a PCChips mobo AND the manual is here:
http://download.ecsusa.com/dlfilepcc/manual/848Av50.pdf
BUT the manual DOES NOT HAVE THE PIN-OUT, so the manual is worthless...
Here is the pin-out:
(2)(4)(6)(8)
(1)(3)(5)(7)(9)

...and thanks to guntotenmadm

Aug 28, 2009 - The pin layout on the MB are color coded. There is green, orange, pink, and blue. I'll start with the green pins 2 and 4 these are for the power led wires, bottom pin #2 is the + pin (your green wire). Pin #4 is - (your white wire). Now the orange pins, pins 1 and 3 these are for the HDD led. The bottom pin #1 is the HDD + pin (your red wire). Pin #3 is the HDD - (your white wire). Now the pink pins, 6 and 8 these are for the power switch. Pin #6 is the + pin (your orange wire). Pin #8 is the - pin (your white wire). Now the blue pins, 5 and 7 these are for the reset switch. Pin #5 is the - (your white wire). Pin #7 is the + (your blue wire)."""

PC Chips M848A Motherboard

Try clearing the bios/cmos using the jumper on the board, page 10 in you're manual. Than try booting. See if you're keyboard allows you to get into the bios/cmos. I'm guessing you tried another keyboard? You can also buy a PS2 - to -USB Y adapter. This is what one looks like.

If you bought an AGP graphics card lately you might have also received a single PS2 to USB adapter free. Like this one.

It's not uncommon for the the lights to function & yet the keyboard not function. A single pin within the PS2 on the keyboard could be bent or bad or not seating correctly in you're new board.

Cannot get motherboard to boot from hard drive

Have you checked the Bios to see if its actually recognising the hard drive?

Turn on the computer and I think on your bios it should be the f2 key to get into the bios, if its not detecting the hard drive you may just have a jumper on the drive set wrong

Let me know if I can be of further assistance

Motherboard will not boot from Hard Drive

Go into your BIOS with the appropriate key (printed on the screen when you first turn the PC on).

Look around the various menus for a "boot order" or something to that effect.

I'd usually set it for CDROM then HDD... but as long as the hard disk is actually in the list before anything else with a bootable disc in it, you should be fine!

I have a pcchips p21g v1 motherboard, but it wont

Is that one of the PCChips boards that has a jumper to enable/disable writing to the BIOS (Basic Input Output System? If it has a hard drive in it, disconnect or remove the hard drive, and then reset the BIOS, by removing the BIOS battery for 5 minutes, then put the (good?) battery back in, and boot it up without any hard drive. I have seen such behavior before, due to malware such as TDL4, and also "BadBios!" Those malware systems can OVERWRITE any unprotected BIOS with modified code!
