6B is a self diagnostic issue. it seems the power supply may have just bit the dust. 

Perhaps the fuser drive gear is broken or there is some object stuck in there. When it's printing, check to see if the fuser rollers are turning. Drive gears do occasionally break.

Check the paper tray adjustable guides inside the tray; the guides need to fit around the paper snug, when re-inserting the tray if the rear guide is back too far the paper may be shifted towards the front of the tray out of range of the paper sensor so it thinks it's out of paper. I service HP LaserJet printers and most of the time this is the problem. Hope this helps.

sometimes people use different names for these two items, but "scanner" to me as a tech, is the assembly with the light under the glass. the error 71 points to your "laser" unit which is pretty deep inside your machine and most likely, only a tech would be able to replace it. once replaced, the code will automatically reset.

Have you tried manually rotating the ADF wheel back and forth, sometimes the sensors are OK but the rotators lose grip.

can you tell me where the paper is jamming? can you see it? tell me more and i will try and help you. brother tech

sometimes dirty carona, clean with blue tab on drum, if not then usally it is the drum worn out(expected life 20 000 prints) or less often it is the fuser roller stuffed

does it ever reset by opening and closing front door? if not, there could be paper stuck in fusing area behind rear door. open and inspect. if you see no paper, pull drum unit out and locate open slot in the bottom, center of drum unit. could be a small scrap of paper in that slot.

pull drum unit out and clean corona wire by sliding blue plastic tab from side to side, making sure you put the tab back on the side that it was. if that doesn't take care of problem, then i would say you need a new drum unit.

the wall outlet was bad.

Try lubricating the mirror shaft, however, the ones i've fixed all had a bad circuit board.

1: power off and power back on. 2: see the original manual for resetting to factory defaults.

To reset all memory in the machine get into maint mode
Pressing with in 2 seconds Menu,*,2,8,6,4
When in maint mode press 01
that will reset
press 99 to exit maint mode.

Very commonly a broken gear on the right side of the fuser. Replace the fuser and this will fix your issue. Let me know if you need a part number and pricing.
