Select proper paper size. then the problem get resolved

Probably the left hinge is broken not letting the adf cover go all the way down and causing jams. A new hinge is #LP2403001, around $15 to$18.00

I had a printer that kept giving me a paper jam error. Nothing visually was there though. I then opened up printer, basically took the whole thing apart bit by bit then found a tiny screw loose just laying stuck between print rollers. You can t see this when it was together. It was the work of my 2 year old dropped screw in there. I put together and worked like new. There could be some small object inside near rollers or some where inside your printer. Usually the paper jam means something is jammed in printer. If you dont want to open, which i preffered not to do but i did because i was going to trash my printer, you can call manufacture and see what options they can give you. Some will take it back if you upgrade to another printer, but you will have to pay some extra money.

Usually it's a static shock that kills the control panel. You need a new control panel PCB.

Brother will not sell to end users, contact a Brother Dealer in your area.

You have to reset the counter. Stop a print or copy job with the paper still in the unit and see where the line comes from, ie fuser transfer etc.

Could be a sensor in the ADF, or the hinge on the left rear of the scanner cover is broken.

This work for me...the zero button was stuck on the numeric keypad. I would suggest looking over each one to determine if one of them are stuck as with mine.

You can try to get a hinge @ a local authorized brother dealer. I just got mine for 20 bucks, I think that the guy ripped me off, but I needed. Once you get it, it is very easy to replace. 1St, replace the old one by removing the screw in the back of the hinge (back of printer). then pretend that you are lifting the whole automatic feeder up. At this point you will see the right hinge looks likeit it coming out. Don't pull it out completely. Just pull it enough that you can flip the feeder enought so you can uncrew the 3 screw attached to the feeder. Once you remove the broken part, install the new hinge. make sure that you screw hinge first before you slip it down to the bottom hole then screw the hinge to prevent it from moving.
PS: try not to flip the feeder too far back

Unfortunately Brother will not sell parts to end users. You will have to call a Brother service Center

Pull open front cover at left/right sides. Then press the button at top/middle of next cover and pull it forward and down. Everything else you need to do to change the toner is shown graphically on a sticker at the rear of this cover. Follow the pictures from left to right and you will be done!

the hige must be ordered through a authorized brother dealer. the hinge sells for around 59.00 plus shipping i am sure that u could install it

In the absence of an installer CD, you can download appropriate drivers from the Brother website. The drivers must match the model number of your printer and the Operating System of the PC where it will be attached to.

Here is the download start-up page. Pls select Drivers, your OS, and Language then click on "Search"

Go about halfway down the page and its there. They sell genuine brother parts.

After I installed the print/fax/scanner drivers on my computer, Paint automatically configured itself to recognize the scanner. Other image programs I had to manually configure the TWAIN source before I could import from the scanner.

Open the front cover and then press CLEAR/BACK Press 1 to reset
