Put the envelope into the fold-down tray narrow end first with the side you want to print on facing up. After you click print in the application click on the 'options' button in the print dialog box and select the envelope size, check the media types to see if envelopes is listed, pick the most appropriate setting.

run BBNTCFG and clear out the "MSG levels" field. From the documentation, if an event log is not listed in the field, it will not be notified on. IMO you are better off using Ignore field to fine-tune the messages that are reported. Some surprising things can be learned from watching the event logs.

Identification error - something is wrong with the processor of the printer.
All you can do is to perform a full reset:
1 - Turn the printer power switch OFF on the right side of the printer. Check that the front cover is closed.
2 - Turn the printer power switch ON while holding down the GO button until the Toner, Drum, and Paper LEDs are lit.
3 - Release the GO button. All LEDs will be off.
4 - Press the GO button 8 times. The Ready LED will flash briefly while the printer is reset. After the printer is reset the Ready LED will be lit.
If it behaves the same after that then the defect is hardware - the mainboard will have to be replaced - you will have to take it to a service center for that.

When all of the lights are flashing like that it indicates there's a SERVICE CALL needed,
that usually means right away you'll need to have a service technician repair a part but I can at least help you figure out what part it will be.

To find what's called the Secondary Error code you have to:

Press both the GO and JOB CANCEL buttons together,
this will cause either 1 or 2 of the LEDs to light up.

What they mean:
Toner: Fuser
Toner and Drum: Main PCB (the brain, the main board)
Drum: Laser
Paper: Main motor
Drum and Papaer: Power supply
Toner and Paper: DIMM (the memory module)

Pretty much all of those except the DIMM would cost more (parts and labor) to fix than to replace the machine.

if the black marks can smudge replace the fuser unit, otherwise replace the drum.

Most of the time, paper feed issues have to do with two sets of rollers in your machine that are responsible for paper pickup and paper separation. (It sounds as though you may have a "pickup" issue).

Turn off the unit. Unplug the power cord. With the bottom paper tray removed, you will be able to see these rollers hanging down toward the front of the machine when you look inside where you removed the tray.

The pair of rollers are the pickup rollers. The single larger roller is the separation roller. Check that these rollers are not dirty.

Clean the pickup rollers with a wet, hard, lint-free cloth; the separation roller with a wet, soft, lint-free cloth. Clean horizontally along the rollers. Turn them around a little at a time to get at the entire surface.

You may also want to clean the pad in the paper tray. Use a wet, hard, lint-free cloth and scrub the pad horizontally.

Replace the paper tray. Plug in the unit.

open front cover and pull out drum unit. If you allready have the new toner you will see where it is situated on the dum unit. Look for a little blue lever and push it to unlock the toner

red light means in drum side or toner is not inserting properly...may be that issue...or you clean the inside printer ..after that insert a drum and toner ....check it ....try it...

Paper curling is usually due to paper that has absorbed too much moisture. Try a new **** of paper that is sealed and I would bet that the problem will disappear.

there is no problem with printer cartridge, but there is a problem with printer drum unit.
Open the front cover and pool out the drum unit. You will see the blue arrow on the one side on the top of unit. Slide this arrow from left to right few times. If this doesn't help you can get a small brush and try to clean the thin wire (transfer wire) inside the unit and discharge grid below the wire. This should help.

You probably printed a document that was forced to the manual feed. Place some paper there and it should print. Go to your printer preferences and set the default tray to tray1 instead of Auto.

put fresh paper in, and mak sure it is not rammed in, then hit the reset button. all els fails unplug machine from everything then let set for 10 seconds, then plug it all back in. good luck,

Pull out a paper cassette, lift up the printer and under you see paper feed roller (it is rubber), just clean roller with cloth and water or alcohol.

When all the lights are flashing together, turn the printer power OFF, wait 5 seconds and then turn the printer power ON again.

If the error continues, disconnect the interface cable from the back of the printer and use the following steps to reset the printer:

1. Turn the printer off.
2. Press and hold the Go button on the front of the printer, at the same time turn the printer power on.
3. When the Toner light is on by itself, release the Go button.
4. Push and hold the Go button again, release the Go button when the Paper light is on by itself.

If this does not clear the problem, consult your dealer or your authorized service representative.
