I have a new hotpoint Aquarius and has not been used and the clean filter and empty water light is coming on How do I resolve this

Hi, The empty tank & clean filter light will come after EVERY use of the machine, because it is reminding you that this is what the user manual tells you that you're supposed to do EVERYTIME you use the machine. If the machine breaks down because it's full of fluff, it may invalidate your warranty & a water tank with just a little water, is a lot easier to empty than a full one.!

Hotpoint WMFUG 942 Stops 15 min after starting cycle, on full F -06 error code

Hi, F06 is a water level fault. It will either be due to a faulty vacuum switch (which is the hockey-puck thing with the little tube to it, or it will be not draining properly because of a blocked or faulty outlet pump or filter. The worst case scenario is that it might be a control board failure. Check the filter & pump first. Check to see if the vacuum switch switches by sucking or blowing into the tube. Sometimes just doing that can free it up if was stuck.? Best of luck.

I have a hotpoint WT960 an believe that the drum bearings have gone but all the videos I can find are for the wm series which has a removable back this one has sides an back all as one HELP pls Scott

Hello! First of all, make sure you have a machine witch is not with welded tub, a lot of these machines are made with sealed tub, so in this case you have a problem.... Check if it's with removable front panel, remove kickplate plastic down and chek for screws that hold front panel. If there are no screws and front is welded, it means you will need to remove tub upwards, which is a PITA. You need to remove all hoses, wires from motor, heater, sensors, unscrew shock absorber, remove detergent drawer from top, door gasket. and when everything disconnected, lift up the tub. Ask for some help because it's heavy.

My hotpoint washer WMFUG942 has displayed error code F06 and has flooded my kitchen due to the water from my machine expelling through the kitchen sink during the cycle thanks

Please check for rodent nest. For some reason bugs and small rodents love to nest in areas of resistance..actuators..rexepticles..plug ins..sounds dangerous for the newborns right? Thing is its that old nest that is your problem now. It degrades and chunks jam here and there then stuff stops working. Adverse weather forces creatures to seek temperary shelter especially if a birthing event is looming. So don't try to stop it as nature always wins..but inspect your appliance as soon as you notice a change in performance before that nest costs you a days wages.

AQXGD Hotpoint front loader. Won't

Hi I hope the picture below helps, I can help you further with this as I have found that mine was a 5p blocking my pump fan at the bottom behind the lower front cover, I can talk you through how to do that, but it does involve unplugging the washer firstly, then using a sponge & bucket to remove as much water from the drum as possible & then tipping back machine & propping it up under with a strong solid object that can hold its weight for a while, but then slide a good solid tray under to catch the excess water & an old towel or rags near by for any splashes, then by undoing the front lower flap with a butter knife there are lugs about an inch in from each end, gently pop them down carefully & remove white cover, then by twisting the grey circle cap that is at the front of the pump fan, this can be hard to turn, but follow the arrows, I have had to turn mine using pliers before, turn this slowly because water will come out & it will be fast if you turn it to quickly soaking the floor, once removed look & see what is obstructing the pump fan blades, maybe a hair clip or a coin or limescale & hair etc, give it a good sweep around & rotate the fan blades & inspect closely with a torch to see any minor scratches or damage the fan, this may indicate the item is blocking something or if it's gone the other side of the fan or not, once this has been cleared & rotates & the filter if there is one has been cleaned & replaced back then reassemble it all together & then resit the machine, please leave & allow it to settle for a few mins to be sure that there is no leaks from the area you opened (sometimes a few drops as the water tipped backed wards will rush forwards & then it will be resealed, after a 5-10 min wait plug the washer back in, set it to the pump out & spin programme & this should clear the problem, it did with mine last summer... I hope this solves the problem..
I did add a picture from their website depicting what the error code is trying to indicate to you, but you probably have already looked for this already, Hope this helps....

When the symbol CHILD LOCK is illuminated, the control panel is locked. This means it is possible to prevent wash cycles from being modified accidentally, especially where there are children in the home. Unplug for 30 minutes to reset the control board. If problem persists, it is likely that the control board will need to be replaced.

Our hotpoint ultima wmd960 washing machine timer

Have a look at this and check if your pump is full of things lost from pockets: How to remove and clean your Hotpoint washing machine pump filter However, I suspect the problem is really that something is causing the controller to (falsely) register an unbalanced load, and continually running the wash to try and redistribute the items. Sorry I'm not sure what the fix is for that - could be motor tacho, or could be controller itself.

Hotpoint WML540P washing machine runs for about 3minutes, stops and then runs for another couple of seconds and repeats for a few times

sounds like normal operation for a newer model washer. They don't agitate nonstop like the older models do. Do the lights go through the entire cycle?

Hotpoint 720 part fills but goes no further and no faults show

Hotpoint 720 incorporates a fill pressure switch, it monitors the fill level and passes instructions that sufficient water level has been reached, and instructs the programmer to continue to the next stage of the cycle. Accepting, that enough water has entered the drum, the level switch could be faulty, however it is most likely to be the programmer. To test any of the fault finding to cure this fault requires removing panels and I would not recommend you doing this unless you are qualified. If you are however qualified and satisfied that you can proceed safely, with concerns for your own safety, I will send you, a process on how to proceed, checking out weather it is the pressure switch or the programmer. Trust you find this answer helpful Adam
