I have a hotpoint washing machine if I start the machine the water it's working after filling up the water the basket doesn't spin

Look at and examine the door seal closely for any sign of a hole or tear in it.
If none is visible then it could be the clamp or spring that holds the seal to the drum front that is causing the prob..
Other than that , there could be a crack or hole in the container front.

Clean the filter and pump

Your filter is partially blocked

Belt loose or motor / motor control board possibly defective

remove plug from socket . and then remove motor plug if your able from motor .and test motor .

undo the bolts and pull it forwards....removing the plug of wires.... cheers

Hi It seems to be a fault with this make of washing machine. I changed the door lock and that seemed to cure it for a while. However it now seems to be doing it again. What I have discovered is the following: Turn the washing machine off completely at the wall and pull the plug out - leave it out for about one minute and then plug it back in and switch on. This should cure the problem and it will work again. You may have to do this every now and again to clear some fault it has in the circuit board so leave some access to your plug socket. I hope this helps.

I found it easier to hold one part with a Pointy nosed pliers and push the plastic grip out the side of the clip. As it is plastic it just ratchets back into place.

By switch board, I assume you mean the control module.

Then click on-- SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES in the menu on the left.

Check the vent hose and the vent in the house for dryer lint. Excessive amounts will block airflow and the dryer senses that and shuts off the heat to prevent a fire.

You can try this. Switch off the washing machine at the mains, unplug it and leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes. Plug it back in and see if it will work. If it doesn't work you may need to buy a new door lock mechanism. The door lock has some electronics which can fail sometimes. You can buy the door lock on the internet for about twenty pounds and can do it yourself if you are fairly handy. There are also videos explaining how to do it on YouTube. It worked for me. Do You Have an ERROR code on the Front Loader??. look up part # 34001265 on eBay or a Door Switch.

fit new door interlock switch not too expesive parts about £15

You take off the top to get into the machine, there are usually screws at rear top holding top panel on. That said the most likely culprit is the pump which you get to from underneath, followed by the door seal, which you should inspect carefully for very small holes. My guess is the pump, have you checked the filter is clear?

check the motor carbons

1. Check that the water tube is properly fixed 2. The tap is on 3. The program is on If you hear a humm sound without water means that the valve is open but is closed before that. If no humm is heard then the valve could be broken.

There must be something stuck in the filter, as normally it should pull straight out once you have unscrewed it.
Try screwing and unscrewing it at the same time keep twisting and pulling at the filter.
If you can't tremove it, then you sre going to have to remove the complete pump in order to clear the obstruction

if you mean the mains switch power this is available to buy on its own fairly easy to do,only four wires are connected to it.
