Leaking from underneath the machine

If the washer leaks all the time, check these: Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate. Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician. Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

Vbsr3100dawn washer water leaking between tub hotpoint

Hi, there is a tub seal (WH02X10032) that can be replaced, however, the tub nut generally requires the GE tool to remove. The nut is hex shaped, but is made of a pretty soft alloy so it can break if you use a regular wrench. Once the tub is out, you may also find that you need a new tub nut and split ring.

Belt Slipping

WH1X2026 is the part number for a new belt, around $10.00 it may be stretched so I'd try replacing it first.

I have a hotpoint vbsr2080woww.well when it spins

There is probably something stuck between the inner and outer tub. The machine will have to be dismantled to remedy this.

My hotpoint has quit spinning, how do I evaluate

If it will not agitate or spin, you will need to replace the belt. If it will agitate but not spin, you have a bad transmission. This has been a nightmare to Hot Point (GE). I did warranty repairs for GE for 8 years. During that time, GE had me condemn on average 6 washers a week due to bad transmissions. Reason being, it was cheaper for them to send the customer a new washer than it was for them to ship me a new transmission and pay me to replace it.
Sorry but take my advise when I say, when you replace your washer, don't but a GE or Hot point. They still have not bothered to fix their transmissions.

Hotpoint VBSR2080WOWW washing machine vibrates with loud noise

hi,
this is a generic problem with top-loading washing machines. when the distribution of load is not uniform, it gives sound when spinning. if it produces noise even after equal distribution of clothes, the problem lies in the suspension. this is not a major fault, and can be put up with, rather than spending dollars on fixing it. this will in no way cause any special wear and tear for the machine.
cheers

No agitate/no spin/yes spin in rinse

this is a drive shaft issue. this shaft is connected to the gear case and the gears may be stripped or the clutch may be damaged. there are many plastic parts here in this area that can break due to heavy load or just old age. replacing the internal parts and clutch will fix these issue you are having.

Don't know where lint filter is.

Peace friend,
ngfam1 at your service

What's the model number?
usually the filter in a washer is built in with no access for the customer without service. Unlike the dryer where you clean the lint filter every load!

Shoot me the model #When you open the lid, if you squat down you can find a sticker in the opening of the washer in the middle just below the lid! with the model #
her is the web site for GE user manuals to download or order them!

Bad transmission

Friend,
ngfam1 At your service!
YES YOU GOT A LEMON!
WATCH MAGIC AS I TURN YOUR LEMON INTO A CHERRY!
Here is what you must do!
I do this a lot for my customers!
We are a family business for over 65 years
READY??
You get together all the service invoices and organize your self with the sales slip and service slips and call GE.
Ask customer service for a supervisor!

Then we are going to get them to do a whats called a "PUSH-PULL"!!!!!

You tell them when you bought it and how many times service has been to your rescue! With documentation of dates
!
Be calm, nice and reserved! BUT FIRM!

You want them to replace this lemon with a brand new machine! And ask them if this is a model flaw .That you want another machine with an up grade so you are not going to go through this again with this model!
WARRANTY TIME MEANS NOTHING WITH DOCUMENTATION!

IT'S EASIER TO KEEP THE CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE THAN FIND NEW ONES TODAY!!!!!!
EVERY DAY GE OR SOME OTHER MANUFACTURE ASKS DEALERS TO DO A , "PUSH PULL".
THEY PAY US TO ORDER AND DELIVER AND PICK UP THE LEMON FOR RETURN TO THEM!
NO COST TO THE CUSTOMER!
Not even delivery. No matter what the dealer says to you about money! No money, honey! Got me?The companies forbid the dealers from taking any money from the push pull customer !
They pay us!!!
Unless you want to tip the guys on the truck.

Some times I've told my customer that when it's a lot past warranty that for good measure, Tell them,
"I just took a loan to remodel my whole kitchen, and I have gutted the kitchen and found all my stainless steel Ge profile appliances that I am ready to purchase BUT !
But I cannot in good faith follow through with this buy until I see that GE does indeed back up their product!

Your going to love the service and being in control!
You are fine now!

Timer dosn't move.

The timer is normally just a motor and that turns a shaft ( soem have gear reduction setups too) and trigger various functions to happen.. Chances are your motor is bad or one of the power leads is detached. Over time, wires loosen and break free of terminals and motors do wear out.. That's probably your problem,.. Hope that helps..

Overflow

Hello,

If you unplug the machine and the water still comes in, you have a bad Water Inlet Valve. If when you turn the machine on at in overfills and you can stop the water by turning off the washer timer then you have one of a couple possible issues.

First, you pressure sensing tube could be clogged
Second, you just plain have a defective pressure sensing switch.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to comment back.

Thank you
