SPARKLE Computer GeForce 6600GT, (128 MB) AGP Graphic Card Questions & Answers
How can i fix my
1- try remove your fan and the heat-sink
2- use cooler gel(heat-sink cooler gel) and apply at your chipset
Have a GeForce 6600 Graphics card in my computer
You should always update the graphics card driver first.
If that doesn't help, does it crash to the desktop, or does it crash and shuts your computer down?
If it crashes to the desktop, then your system might not meet the system requirements of the game.
If it shuts your computer down, then you might not have enough power, some hardwares are not compatible, or that the speed of some components are too high and unstable (unstable overclocking).
However, it's just possible that the game isn't working the way it should and just needs a reinstallation.
Spakle Nvidia GeForce 6600GT.
The SiS 963 Southbridge chip? Doesn't matter it's the SiS 648 Northbridge that controls the AGP 8X graphics slot you have. The Northbridge also controls the Processor. Why would a failed Southbridge chip have anything to do with the VCore values. VStandby yes. It's a 5 Volt circuit.
linzness I think this mobo has had it. Better to buy an upgrade. Of course finding a mobo with a Socket 478 for that Intel pentium 4 you have will be pretty hard, and with an AGP 8X graphics slot.
Whoa, wait a minute. CPU and MB thermal specs, are within parameters without chassis fan? Doesn't sound reasonable to me.
CPU, okay. The CPU fan, and heatsink are taking the load. MB temp within specs without chassis fan? Hmmmm.
Electrolytic Capacitors don't always show visual signs of failure. The Electrolytic paste can dry up inside the cap, and you won't know it.
The cap's surrounding the AGP slot, are to be suspected at this point.
These cap's are Filters for the DC voltages.
If one is bad, no great big deal. They're in a series circuit. If more than one is bad, it's time to replace them, or get a new mobo.
Don't suppose you have another AGP card, that will work in that AGP 8X slot for a test? The card has to use 1.5 Volts only. This isn't an AGP slot that will change from 3 volts to 1.5 volts. (BIOS)

Stripy Boot Up
is it a new graphic card? Sometimes that happens when the graphic card gets overheated and fries up some chips. and sometimes those lines appear when the graphic card has fault in Direct Draw. Try setting your BIOS settings to default. if it doesn't work, i recommend you to take the graphic card to the nearest hardware tech ;)

Have you actually purchased Visio, or are you just trying to get it for free?
As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.
My Employer Says They Are Going To Cut My Wages. Can They?
If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired an
employment attorney to fight the case on my behalf. It turned out that my employer was basically looking to scare people into taking the wage cut.
They got into some pretty serious legal trouble for their transgression, and nothing happened to me in terms of wage cuts after that. If you are between contracts, your employer can re-negotiate your salary, but as far as I am aware, if you are in an agreed-upon contract, they cannot just decide to reduce your salary. If you want to settle matters, contest this action with support from a legal professional.
