If it fills with water it is probably not the door lock suggesting a fault with the programmer or motor. If you are getting a voltage to the motor and it is not turning, the motor is likely to be your fault.
Motors can be replaced or new brushes may be all that you need but you are likely to have to take the motor out to check it as they are not usually easy to get to.Brushes are relatively cheap (£5 - £10) but can be difficult to find and a new motor probably around £50.
If you are able to tackle the repair yourself is worthwhile trying the brushes (but be prepared for the repair to take several days to get the parts unless you have a local repair shop around the corner that carries parts). A problem with the windings of the motor would require a new motor in any case.
If you get someone in I expect they would change the motor and not mess about with brushes. An experienced repairman should be able to fit a new motor in an hour and if you outline the problems and they bring a spare motor along with them the cost to repair is likely to be of the order or £100 - £150 (say £80 callout and £50 motor).
The first thing to check is to remove the draw and clean the roof of the dispenser with an old tooth brush and retry if problem is still present you could have a evalve fault
It could be roaches got into the motherboard electronics. Remove the display PCB and spray it with an non residue electronics cleaner. Dry thoroughly. Be cautious of static discharge when handling PCB. Touch the case of the appliance then the PCB.
Check that you haven't got a blockage under the draw,if this is ok try turning the tap for the cold hose down a little as the pressure could be to high also check thaw machine Is level
To fix it switch the machine off, then push and hold the middle 3 of the 5 function buttons below the display until it beeps, and then turn on. You can then set the desired language from a menu, using the right hand buttons to move, and the top left button to confirm
First of all remove the door from the machine by unscrewing the
screws on the hinge than remove
clip at the top of door seal, when it unclips remove metal band, pull front of
door seal off of front panel, Pick up metal bracket. Now with the hinge attached
to door hold in place and place bracket behind the two holes fit screws and
then fit the seal and clip.
Hotpoint kindly omit this from the manual. Love 'em!
I believe that You hold the i (info) button and delayed start button simultaneously for five
seconds, then the screen reverts to the language choice page. The machine needs
to be switched on.
This will
potentially sound odd, but run the 90 degree cycle with 3 dishwasher tablets in
the drum. The smell is bacterial and probably the result of a build up of
residue from biological soap powder (Which is simply bacteria that eat your
stains). Dishwasher tablets are anti-bacterial and will kill the bugs making
the smell
Hi, E30 indicates a fault in the motor circuit, unplug the appliance and take the top off.
Either side of the motor you'll find a carbon brush holder.
Disconnect the wire to the carbon brush and take the holder out. If worn or broken, replace with new ones.
Fabric softener does not wash down into the machine. The hole over the compartment is block by black gunge from conditioner
This video will show you how to keep your soap draw clear
and how to service the parts

It really depends upon at what point it trips the breaker. During washing, spinning, drying? If it is during drying don't use that cycle- it could be the dryer heating element. A supressor is normally used on the motor to supress the effect of sparking from the commutator/brushes so I doubt very much that it is that- it would probably trip immediately all the time. It could, however, be the motor itself which is malfunctioning particularly if the tripping happens around spin time. I do think you should call in an engineer, sorry ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

To change the language on the Hotpoint WDD960P/G/A/K washer dryer.
The official manual is slightly wrong!! So Follow these steps: With the machine in the "OFF" position (NO display) Simultaneously press and hold the Delay+Temp+Spin buttons until you hear a bleep and a language is displayed. Let go of the buttons and scroll to your desired language by pressing the "Spin" button until the language you want is displayed.
Inmediatly press the "Drying" button to select it and the display should say "Hello" to acknowledge the selection. If you take too long in pressing "Drying" it reverts to the previous language. Happy washings!!!
Just to make sure that it is not the drain motor giving the burning smell here are my general guidance notes for checking the drain filter and the motor's operation which I would highly recommend you carry out. It needs to be done on a regular basis anyway ;-0) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
