Crackling noise
Sounds like you may have a short in a wire. I would open the unit and take a look. You may want to also open it and run it to see if you can track it down.

Noise from machine
1.check if the bra wire is poking out of one of the drums.Check for drum bearing failure if your washing machine is noisy on the spin cycle. Drum bearing failure is common when the bearing seals start allowing water to enter. You can take the belt off and spin the drum by hand, and if the drum rumbles, replace the bearings.2.clear the water pump from obstractions like coins or small objects there might be some coins stuck in it that are causing discomfort.if all the above fails try to run the motor alone without the belt if you still hear the noise its the motor that has a problem

Code f-07 on wf740g
On Hotpoint models F-07 means "heater relay (possibly)
stuck".I suggest to check power supply connections to the heater, wiring and module connections (apparently poor PCB connections are often the cause).Unplug the appliance and take the rear panel off.Check the wiring to the heater.Test the heat erwith a multimeter, should be around 25 ohms.Take the top off the appliance.Check the connections to the pressure switch.Take the thin tube off the pressure switch and blow down the tube as hard and as long as you can, refit the tube.Check the connections to the main control board (located bottom left when viewed from the rear). If all of the above checks out ok, you'll need to replace the main control board and have it programmed.Check these out, see what you find.Hope this helps.

I have hotpoint wma62 and door lock light flashes,
Hiya,
yes, i can help..
Firstly, lets start simple. Have you noticed the door lever/handle has got "floppy"? or loose? or easy to squeeze?
This is the most common reason, what happens is there are 2 bits of spring steel behind the handle, these either break or become weak, to test this theory, close the door, put your finger between the handle and the door and push the handle towards the glass, if this works then you need a new spring/handle.
Please let me know,
Please rate my help.
Regards
Sussex engineer.

Hi. We have a hotpoint washer dryer aquarius wd64
REMEMBER: when checking the resistance ensure that all wiring is disconnected from testing points!
Remove the top cover of the washing machine, you'll see about a foot size aluminum casing of the heater itself. Using a multimeter set on resistance (ohms) check the resistance between two welded pins (heating element) The readings should be roughly fom 0 to 26 ohms. If there's no readings you'll need to replace heating element, othervise check the resistance of thermo-fuse wich is located between those two welded heater pins. one of the wires connects heating element and thermo-fuse directly. The readings should be around 0 ohms, if no reading just replace the thermo-fuse.
Lets end at this point for now, as replacements thermo fuse solves the problem in most cases.
Please update me about your success, If unfortunately it didn't helped, just say and we'll find the solution!
Good luck

Wdl540 clothes go through drying cycle but come
If there is no heat at all then the heater or the temp sensor or the thermal fuses are defective and need replacing.
Also check that the lint filter is clear of debris and lint. Rinse it if necessary in some mild washing up liquid in warm water and dry thoroughly. Check that the air outlet hose is clear if you have one fitted. Check that the condenser is empty of water and the case is free from dust and lint. Vacuum / brush or wash the outside of the collector in washing up liquid and warm water and dry.
