Hi there, I've got a Hotpoint Aquarius washer / dryer and this has just started happening to me - it seems to get to the end of the cycle then repeat itself. However, I do not seem to be able to cancel the cycle, or am I able to switch it off. It's been going for about 4 hours now. Any ideas?

My clothes are sopping wet when the wash has

Sounds like a blocked outlet pipe. It may be possible that a small item of clothing i.e. sock or baby item may be stuck between the drums and occasionally moves over the outlet from the drum causing the blockage, hence only happens once in a blue moon. To see if you can see if there is something between the drums use a flashlight to help you look through the holes in the inner drum to see if there's a stray sock or something that can be moving around between the drums and covering the outlet. If there is then you will have to remove the outlet pipe from the bottom of the drum to try and remove the item that is causing the blockage, check all the way around the drum as it may be stuck to the inner drum at the time. If no item is found between drums then the blockage may be in the outlet pipes (both sides of the pump) or in the pump. Check these also as it may even be a small button or coin creating a blockage if it is moving around.

Hotpoint aqurious leaking at front

Carefully check the door seal for any sign of a hole or tear in the seal.
Or it could be leaking from the drum front or the drum front seal, this is another seal , not the door seal., you cannot see this without removing the front panel.

Unlikely to be filter leaking.
Carefully check the door seal for a split or hole in it, it is easy to miss a hole, so examine it closely.
The filter is located inside the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint WD420 - Stuck in wash cycle

Suggestion: Plug off the wall first. Possible your outlet filter is blocked. This requires cleaning depending on your usage. Clean this out and refit. Check out user's manual. Good luck. Also check if your inlet into the machine is not clogged.

The water is not draining away. Hotpoint WD63

filter is located at the bottom rear of the appliance... if its pump obstruction then to lay the drain hose into a bowl is a means of getting the water out manually.. if its a blockage and water wont drain this way then lay the unit down on its R/H side (not soap dispenser side)....then acces to the filter can be made without flooding the place..best if 2 persons were to do this as the machine can be heavy when full with water and clothes.. best of luck..

Washing machine fills with water but won't do

I would check the brushes in the motor if I were you..
It should be located at the top right of the washer.
If the brushes are less than 3 or 4mm long, then they need replacing.
Hope this helps.

Two things to check.
Remove rear cover.

Remove and clean filter inside hose.

Next--remove top cover and check the brushes in the motor, if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then replace them.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
