Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 Front Load Washer/Dryer Questions & Answers
My washing smells after a wash, but the washing machine drum does not smell.
A solution from the internet: Make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put into the powder drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It should clean the machine and move out the bad smell. Another: I have a front loading machine also and am not willing to have to constantly clean out the machine; the soap and fabric softeners you use are building up between the inner and outer drums (and on the drum itself sometimes). Because the machines door is so tightly sealed (to prevent water leakage) the smell from this buildup is awful. I finally found the solution. MAGGIE'S SOAP NUTS -- they are all natural (grow on trees) and will remove the grime from your drum and also clean your clothes (you won't even need fabric softener anymore). Stop using commercial detergents and fabric softeners and start using Maggie's Soap Nuts. They are not very cheap but they work great -- I have found that making a liquid out of the soap nuts and storing it in a bottle works better than putting them in the sack cloth they come with (because front loaders do not agitate constantly like regular machines, the cloth bag sits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a stain -- the liquid will not leave a stain. YOU WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM AND HAVE SOFTER CLOTHES TO BOOT (without fabric softener so you save some money there). They are also better for septic tanks, the environment and your health! I believe Whole Foods sells them and they are also on the internet at www.Maggiessoapnuts.com Note: Also go to www.newstarget.com -- they are going to buy these in bulk to cut the cost in half but don't have them yet. You should be able to buy them there soon. Note: Forgot to tell you to run some of this thru your machine with hot water before washing your clothing to clean out the buildup that is already in the machine.

How to get rid of rotten egg smell coming from washing machine
Check the drain where the wash machine is plumbed into it should have the blung to stop the smell comming out of the drain, also check the filter but it is very rare that the smell will come out of the washer it will be a drain issue that is backing up through the washer,if you havent got a u bend trap on the drain it will allow the drain gases to come back into the house.
hope that helps a little bit.

Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 door won't open
on some hotpoint models you can remove the front kickplate and on there will be a yellow or green plastic pull toggle, pull this and it will bypass your door lock, if your appliance does not have this then you will need to unplug and leave unplugged for 10-15 mins to reset the door lock, you will however more than likely need a new door lock

My housemate washed two garments in my WT540 AQUARIUS HOTPOINT MACHINE and now water is stuck in the drum and not moving. The door is locked. How do I wash out the water so I can get those two garment
something has blocked the pump I susspect, turn off the machine!!! there should be a small cover or door at the base of the machine, have a baking tray and large towel ready to collect the water, open the pump cover place the tray as close as possible and if you have a small tube inside then remove the plug and drain the water to the tray.if its just the screw cap then unscrew the cap behind the cover anti clockwise, water may begin to empty so be ready to either screw the cap back in or replace the stopper as the water in the machine will fill the tray several times, when all the water is empty check the pump is clear by looking into the hole the water flowed from, remove any obstrustion ( if you have the tube you will also have a screw cap to access the pump filter) when obstuction is cleared, screw caps back in and put stopper in, switch the machine on and select a spin cycle, let it finish and end, this should sort it out.

Can't get the top of a Hotpont Aquarius WML520
I've just taken the top off mine, unscrew the 2 screws at the back then push the front with the palms of your hands rearwards, it takes some doing and you may need to get your fingers underneath the lid at the back and just give it a good pull!!

Not enough water for wash
It is
possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors
due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program
controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN
pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from
the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the
water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the
voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no
voltage from the controller. This means
the controller is a suspect.
If the
water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the
inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the
inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL
SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level
to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is
most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must
be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for
rinse and wash.

pressure switch: Click on : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZZ2bDMspj8
