WD440 HOTPOINT AQUARIUS LEAKING FROM FRONT/NOT DRYING
Power off the mains. The
filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at
the
bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain
out all the water. The filter is inside
the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum.
Remove
the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip
holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big
white ball
which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To
refit
put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball
back
into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir
clip.
Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic
clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting.
The leak in the front could be from one of the tubes bringing water to the detergent box; you should open up top to locate.

My washer dryer sometimes trips when it is just
Hi.
The dryer wiring must be tested for shorts. If the dryer trips immediately, then the problem is usually the dryer timer board.Timer board can be tested by disconnecting its termnals and jumping connections to simulate dryer cycling. There are many safety issues involved, this test is complicate, and must be done by a qualified technician.
A simpler test can be done disconnecting power, accessing parts, and observing timer board, wiring and connectors for signs that can reveal the occurrence of a short.
Here parts and diagrams for most appliances:
Where do I find parts and diagrams?Regards.

Water remains in the tub after spin cycle
Sounds to me like the Water Pump is bad. Hopefully if your machine is less than a year old you can get it fixed for free, if you bought it new it will have a 12 month warranty on it. If not you can always buy the manual for your washer and try to fix it yourself.

Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.
F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.
F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.

How can I unscrew the drain outlet at the bottom
Keep trying to unscrew it, as it should come right out for cleaning. A little water will come out too so put a small tray under the machine first.
Look at my other solutions, as for DOOR light flashing.

Hotpoint Washing Machine (W540) stopped working, LEDs flash....?
You must get the filter out, as there is a very good chance that this is the prob, keep unscrewing it and try to move it about, then screw it back in again , and then out again, hopefully this will dislodge whatever it is that is holding the filtter in.
Plz rate thiese comments.
Thanks.

Stay in high flats 4up low water pressure is there
If your water pressure is to high or even to low then just check the taps at back where hoses are fitted. Make sure they are fully open if pressure is to low, also make sure there are no kinks jn the pipes. If pressure is to high then just turn taps down a little.

Hotpoint w440 washer/dryer keeps repeating cycle load?
Hi there, I've got a Hotpoint Aquarius washer / dryer and this has just started happening to me - it seems to get to the end of the cycle then repeat itself. However, I do not seem to be able to cancel the cycle, or am I able to switch it off. It's been going for about 4 hours now. Any ideas?

My clothes are sopping wet when the wash has
Sounds like a blocked outlet pipe. It may be possible that a small item of clothing i.e. sock or baby item may be stuck between the drums and occasionally moves over the outlet from the drum causing the blockage, hence only happens once in a blue moon. To see if you can see if there is something between the drums use a flashlight to help you look through the holes in the inner drum to see if there's a stray sock or something that can be moving around between the drums and covering the outlet. If there is then you will have to remove the outlet pipe from the bottom of the drum to try and remove the item that is causing the blockage, check all the way around the drum as it may be stuck to the inner drum at the time. If no item is found between drums then the blockage may be in the outlet pipes (both sides of the pump) or in the pump. Check these also as it may even be a small button or coin creating a blockage if it is moving around.
