My Hotpoint Aqaurius WD62 door is shuting but the door lock light wont come on!

you may need a switch but not a door see if you can adjust the door and try shutting it hard as front loaders close snug because of the rubber boot check your power too

My dog ate my power cord on my bosch 1200 classixx

Yes, it is a quite straight forward job to replace the cable.
Remove the top cover and follow the cable in, you will then see what is required .
Alternatively, if you do not want to do this, you could join the cable with a 3 pin connector plug
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint washing machine Aquarius WD640

Try this sequence; Hold down start and cancel button together, TEST should disappear of display,
Then hold down START/ CANCEL, and ON/OFF at the same time.
The message D/off should appear in the display, it should then work.
If it does not then the main pcb is likely to be faulty..
That will mean calling an engineer.
Pleas rate my fixya solution.
Thankyou.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Were you able to check the operation of the drain pump?
If not following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hotpoint Aquarius WM 62

Hi, Does the drum turn during the wash cycle? When it comes to the spin cycle does it go through to the end without the drum turning? It sounds like it could be the motor needs new carbon brushes. Regards, Tom.

When you turn it on and the drum starts to turn it

For sure this is due to a a high drain of current and so the fault seems relative to the control unit or the motor circuit or the heating element.
To confirm you need to remove the power and ISOLATE each of the circuit to have aload test using a clamp tester on the main line which can confirm the high drain. check if there is motor jamming or if the capacitor to the motor is faulty.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Try this!

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry, this FixYa Washer Forum does not supply service centre numbers, engineers, spares or spares sources, software, installation instructions or prices; it is just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)

You will either have to search in your local telephone directories OR stay on line and search for '(make) washer spares' and hope that you can find someone/somewhere reasonably local.
Sorry again ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hoover Aquarius Washer Drier WD

sounds like the bushes have gone in the motor... about £20 from your local appliance retailer/parts department! or the filter may be blocked... clear the filter but it will get messy so have towels at the ready a hosepipe would come in handy or move it outside if you feeling strong!!

to check the bushes locate the motor not sure of position on these but near to the bottom you will see wires going to plastic parts each side normaly held in by a screew, take a wire off each plug in and see if it runs...

hope this helps
