for reseting the nokia 3100 there is a option as reset ,it has a code like 1234/11111 etc.

give 2 mobil server and remove that code

switch off then after 30 seconds switch on..if still the problem ,need to reprogram your phone..but before that reset factory setting..thanks

You must change PA(Power Amplifier) IC on your phone.5-6second signal than gone is a sign of PA IC not work any more.You know that PA is an IC where phone use to transmit.I hope it help.

wait do you mean your sim pin or your "phone number" if it's the phone number just put the sim back in and call a number or something it will show your phone number if not call your service provider and give them all your info they should be able to provide you with your phone number.

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in Nokia phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.

put that sim card to another phone if it works go to contacts and click on COPY TO SIM

If your phone is using a memory card I guess you stuffed it with a lot of applications OR you are using a memory card that your phone finds hard to read.You will need to format the phone with this code, *#7370# immediately you turn your phone on.Note that you should use a sim card that has no useful info and your memory card needs to be removed, as this code resets and deletes every installed programs and returns your phone to its original state on production.I hope this info is useful. From the menu of your phone, go to your contact and press, scroll down to settings in the contact and press, scroll down to contact view and press, you will see varieties of option there, select the one you want, maybe it should display name and number while calling or just name alone.

Any option you select, press it and it will b save. you can now call, the option you select is what it display while calling or receiving call.

When a Sim gets locked, it gets to the stage of asking for the Puk number of the phone which can only be gotten by the service provider (customer are line)of the Sim you are using.

Call the customer care line of the Sim you are using and they will give you instruction on how to go about unlocking the Sim the card.

The good thing about it is that the call is free.
