That sounds like the inlet valve has failed in the closed position. If you see some water coming into the washer initially, then one of two inlet valves is not working. remove the front kick strip, on the LHS you will notice a yellow tag. with the power on on the machine pull down twice gently on this tab. this should unlock the door.

if you now notice the drum is full of water its more than likely your filter is blocked and this is what caused the door not to open.
