Hotpoint nvl333gyoww gas dryer heats for a few

here are a few reasons that you will get heat for a few min and then no heat.

1. if the vent is cloged, anywhere in the flexable hose to the wall or from the wall to outside. If the vent is cloged the flame in the unit will widen and the thermostat hi limit will shut she burner off untill it cools.
2. The coils for the burner could be bad and will allow the burner to light a couple of cycles and then will get hot and internaly disconect the coil untill it cools down and then will repeat and will get worse over time.

The good news :) The ignitor is good if it lights a flame, If the flame burns for more that 10 sec then the flame switch is mostlikley good. The main valve in most cases will also be good.

Im using Model # NVL333GY0WW

Ge hotpoint dryer nvl333 very noisy. Drum is

No, there are shims that the drum most likely sit on that need replacing. I had the same problem with mine. It made a horrid sound before the fix. You will have to go to an appliance repair shop to get the shims or you can order them online.

Flooded and not heating now

There is no pilot light. You probably got water into gas jets, also all electronics to ignitor need to be dryed. Also blow out all gas parts. If dryer was plugged in at time of flood you could have shorted one of the thermal switches behind back cover. Check all of this I wrote.

Dryer won't heat

A tumble dryer that isn't heating up at all needs checking with a continuity test meter. The most common cause is a heating element failure, or t.o.c's going open circuit. It depends on which make and model of tumble dryer you have as to how easy it is to get to the relevant parts. Some tumble dryers have heating elements that are easily accessible by removing the back panel, and can be tested for continuity or checked for obvious breakage. Others though have their heating elements inside, which aren't accessible without stripping the dryer down. Tumble dryer heating elements are always protected by thermal fuses which are usually simple devices with 2 wires connected. They can be tested for continuity with a test meter
or
If power is getting to the tumble dryer and the socket is definitely OK, then the most common problem with tumble dryers not working is when the door micro switch fails, or the catch on the door that operates the switch either breaks or no longer activates the door switch. Check for broken door catches. There is usually a plastic peg on the door that pushes through a hole in the tumble dryer's casing where the door catch is. Closing the door should operate a simple micro switch. If the plastic peg is broken or bent it might not operate the switch properly

Igniter only glows on permanent press cycle and not timed cycles

I unplugged the ignitor and put the leads from my multi meter into the plug to monitor the signal to the ingnitor. I got 120 volts only when I turned the timer switch counter clockwise or to the permanent press cycle. When I turned the switch clockwise or to the timed cycle I wouldn't get the voltage to the ignitor. While in the timed cycle, I turned the switch counter clockwise and as I started counter clockwise pressure on the switch knob I got 120 volts to the ignitor. There is a little play in the switch and when taking up the play in the counter clockwise direction the switch would engize the ignitor. The timer switch is bad.

Gas dryer is not heating up

Could be a bad set of burner coils. Does the glow come on for a bit then goes out. And after a bit does same?
Probably bad coils. If you were able to change ignitor, you can do the coils. Unplug first! The coils are the 2 black cylinder shaped devices on burner. They are held on with a bracket that has 2 phillips screws. You can probably take them to your parts house and they can ohm them out for you. Make sure to write down their position before removing them.

Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher DWF34S/42 no power - possible fuse blown

Based on your description, it sounds like there was a short circuit in the dishwasher which caused the fuse to blow and the burning smell. It is possible that the burnt connection you are seeing is related to the short circuit. If you have experience with electrical repairs, you can try to identify and replace the burnt connection. However, if you are not comfortable with electrical work, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a qualified technician to avoid any potential safety hazards. In any case, before attempting any repairs, make sure that the dishwasher is disconnected from the power source and that all safety precautions are taken.

Hotpoint CTD80 Clothes Dryer. Shows no error codes but high heat not working. Stats seem fine?

Question edited to add Maker. Question moved to Hotpoint. Most dryers have 2 elements, one for low, and one for medium. High heat is both elements together. My guess is that your medium element has failed and you are only getting low heat. Test with a multimeter or call for service. https://www.google.com/search?q=Hotpoint+Ctd+80+P+tumble+dryer+parts ..

My Hotpoint dryer, tumbler stopped working and start button wont stay on when I push to start? Is this the starter button?

It might be the start button not making contact or it could be the control board. It depends on the model, Hotpoint has made a few in the last 50 years. Whip your multimeter out and check the switch for continuity.
