Screen scrambles

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor. 2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor. 3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced. 7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Monitor flashes on but won't stay on

More likely to be bad backlights inverter in this model, need to check the surface mounted fuses on the inverter board. You also need to check the caps to see if it has any bulging top or bottom seals in the 12vdc power supply module also and make sure it is putting out 12vdc.

Does this VX900M version use the wallwart power supply or built-in power supply? Does it do the same when used it with another PC? No signal means it is not getting the video signals from your PC. Wenned to verify if it is PC or monitor problem first.

I have a vx900 internal power supply. Wont power

There are two version of this monitor, one has built-in power supply, another one uses 12vdc adapter.
Adapter:
http://lcdpayless.com/productpage.php?productId=4629

The adapter is REGULATED 12vdc 6a power supply that can handle the load up to 6a, if when is has load on it and the voltage drops down to 2.5vdc, teh it is that the power supply is bad or you have shorted circuits in the monitor. You can test the power supply using 12v car lamp such as #1157 bulb to test your power supply under load.
Caps in the power supply do go bad as you can see in my pictures here:
