How to connect Roland MV-8800 fiber optic to Roland Vs 2480HD

I'm sorry. I have no first hand experience with these units, not to mention, I'm a hardware guy. I can repair it, but I have to look in the owner's manual, just like you, to use it. These are questions you should be able to find in your owner's manual. If not there, check with the Roland website.

When Im loading sample via audio cd I keep getting driver is busy and when dumping my beats from mv8000 to any recording software I get a loud buzzing noise.

I'm not really sure what to tell you about loading your sample music. It may be a decoding issue. Check to see if has the same issue with a production music CD. As far as the hum, there can be many issues causing this. You may have a ground lead bad in the cable you are using, from your Production System to, I assume the amp you are using for the output from the Roland. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

I loaded the mv8800 os in the mv8000 and now it's

In this device the OS is actually an firmware and it's loaded in a special memory circuit on the mainboard - not on the hard disk.
In your case something happened during the update procedure and it got corrupted - you will have to try to do that again: download the latest firmware from the official site
http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=848
Unzip the file you downloaded, extract and burn the new firmware file MV8800.PRG on a CD-R; insert the cd in the device (by force if necessary) and shut it down; now, while pressing [INSTRUMENT] and [DISK/USB] keys, turn the device on - the firmware update process should start (keep the keys pressed until the update screen appears).
If you can't do that then there is only way in which you can save your device - a hardware level update: on in which the memory chip is accessed directly . This can be done only by a few specialized dealer repair shops and the factory - you will have to contact your dealer and find out how to send it to them.

Ever since i hooked up

I think the most common cause of this with a pc is that windows media player scrambled the data on the hd.. you need to get a harddrive ide ata adapter , open the mv and connect the hard drive directluy to a computer then copy the files.. then reformat the harddrive in the mv then put the files back on .... i had the same problem with a mac but i dont know the cause since i dont have windowns media player.. im interested to know how this turned out.. i thinking of sending my drive to a drive saver company if it doens work out.. i neeeeeeddd my fillleessss.. aaahhhh

When I turn the MV

Did you try a new hard drive? It may be faulty. Can you pull the drive and see if the unit will start?

It keeps saying opertion failed when i try to load

Try checking the disk drive and CD drive connectors on the main circuit board, see if there are any bent, dirty or desoldered pins.

That's one thing you can do, and it may either help or not, but many machines that use disk/CD/floppy drives show an error message if there is a connection problem so i guess it's at least worth checking it.

MV8-VGA BOARD

I TRIED TO FIND THIS BOARD UNSUCCESSFULLY FROM REGULAR AND ONLINE MUSIC STORES. THROUGH ROLAND SALES REPS, I LEARNED THAT THE PART WAS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER AND SCHEDULED TO BE DISCONTINUED. THIS WAS ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO IN 2007. I HAD LUCK TRYING REPAIR SHOPS THAT SERVICED ROLAND EQUIPMENT AND OWNERS WHO HAD THE CARD INSTALLED ALREADY. TRY CRAIGS LIST, AND MV NATION

Mv 8000 input does not switch from optical to analog

U need to reset your parameters.....Goto the  System button and then  press F5.  This will lead you to where you need to press initialize to reset the parameters.  Don't worry it wont delete any of your sounds etc.  I had the same problems.....u will probably have to do it every-time you turn it back on and off.  I think the cause of this is due to it having a previous expansion on it......

How do i use the

You can't. Best way is to set your FX on your track. Hit sampling button, then go to the Resampe tab, hit start, run your track, save sample, load it back up. Not exactly how I woulda set things up, So I make everything dry on the mv and dump into my DAW for FX...Not sure what Roland was thinking with this little gem, but hit up MVNation.com...best site for info on the MV. After I found this site, I threw the manual out. Hope it helps.

Make sure the speaker setting is set to "Normal" or "ON." If the speaker setting is set to "OFF," try setting it to "Normal" or "ON". The following may be available on your instrument. - Normal: The speaker will sound only if headphones are not connected.

No sound from Roland E80 speakers

well it needs service, using the service manual ,tools and skills' so get it service by a shop. not told at all how the kbd is connected and to what. just he word speakers told? use the left rear, speaker line out L/R fails> (if yes bad external amp speakers or if using the internal speakers those are actually bad both? then the speakers inside are bad or the amp that drives the 2 are bad inside, we test those to find this out. inside speaks use inside speakers amps the to jack 1/4 inch inch are not amps, those are line out jacks. 100mV signals that only an external amp can juse, directly my guess, is the internal amp is bad. it needs service, by an electronic tech, as that is what it is. or blown fuse inside or things directly related to just the amp inside.

I need help installing a Roland VT-4 to my computer as well as a Rode NT1 microphone connecting to that. The Rode microphone will need to get power through the Roland VT-4.

Hello Christian, to establish a connection order, we will go from the microphone to Roland and Roland to the computer first, you connect the Rode microphone to the Roland, through a cable with Cannon type connectors (XLR), the female connector to the Rode and the male connector to the Roland Mic input of the rear panel, you have to enable the Phanton key, in the front of Roland Then you have to connect a USB to USB cable, from the USB connector on the back panel of the Roland to a USB port on your computer This would be the connection sequence, then to use it, turn on the Roland first and then the computer and when you finish using it, first the computer and then the Roland I send you the link to download the user manual, there you will find more options for operation I hope you find it easy to arm and interconnect your Rode with your Roland and your computer Greetings Franco Dosil Hola Christian, para establecer un orden de conexi?n, iremos del micr?fono al Roland y del Roland a la computadora primero, conectas el micr?fono Rode al Roland, a trav?s de un cable con conectores tipo Cannon (XLR), el conector Hembra al Rode y el conector Macho al Roland entrada Mic del panel trasero, tienes que habilitar la llave de Phanton, en la parte delantera del Roland Luego tienes que conectar un cable USB a USB, desde el conector USB en el panel trasero del Roland a un puerto USB de tu computadora Esta seria la secuencia de conexi?n, luego para usarlo, prendes primero el Roland y despu?s la computadora y cuando terminas de usarlo, primero la computadora y despu?s el Roland te env?o el link para que descargues el manual de usuario, ah? vas a encontrar mas opciones de funcionamiento Espero que te resulte f?cil el armado e interconexion de tu Rode con tu Roland y tu computadora Saludos Franco Dosil https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/vt-4/owners_manuals/21fab44d-24a9-428d-9623-9f58bc8db97a https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/vt-4/owners_manuals/7e0e40e5-4765-453e-b7e5-6b6eeb96a876 https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/vt-4/owners_manuals/00163e4e-893f-4528-a979-6d523149c23a https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/vt-4/owners_manuals/bb691ff4-8efe-4243-9d14-b316fcbb3fa7

My Roland BK3 has no sound; i can hear the faint power sound through the speakers;the display is perfactly working but no sound coming out

Have you tried a different output cable? I know, it seems simple, but it's often the problem. If you have and the problem remains, I suggest calling the manufacturer to see if there is a known problem. Many manufacturers have a website & service number for resolving problems with their products.
