When my headphones are on

if the headphones you are trying to use are mono and over 8w then yes. you need a headphone pre amp. id ensure the power supply is all the way in and that it is set to default settings to ensure you didnt trip any of the equalizing or bridge features for the headphones

Display-is-flickering-and-wont-play

Ok i know this is going to be something you have already done but i have to say it to assist you in troubleshooting. Can you ensure that all connections are properly connected. As for as the display i know for a fact on these if they have ever been yanked or pulled on, The connectors pull up from the mainboard and need to be retouched and soldered back down. As far as not playing if its shorting cause the monitor isnt connected properly the circuit overload protections for the unit comes on and shuts down the workstation. That applys for the onboard and the vga output. also might want to check the powersupply on the board itself.

Thanks Nathan

"Setup Drive: Load Project -> Now working... -> Please wait...."

I have 3 2480s and I use them professionally so I think I can help you. Looks as if you need to install the OS for the system. It seems as if it lost. You should have the OS on CD and if not contact RolandUS and get one. You would put in the OS into your CD burner and power up the unit. I would recommend Roland HD support be on the other end if you are brand new. They will walk you through. I was one of the first to buy the 2480 when it came out and the manual is just insane to learn.

Mono instead of Sterio

Make sure you are panning hard left and hard right before you export the track. Why don;t you use the roland interface and bypass the mac all together.

Roland VS2000CD

Shelly, I have a 2480 but it must be very similar. Import the drum track as a wav file into two of your tracks within the same project. You must make sure the file is a WAV file and nothing else.

Hope it works, on the 2400, I am sure it must since it is a must have.

Make sure the speaker setting is set to "Normal" or "ON." If the speaker setting is set to "OFF," try setting it to "Normal" or "ON". The following may be available on your instrument. - Normal: The speaker will sound only if headphones are not connected.

No sound from Roland E80 speakers

well it needs service, using the service manual ,tools and skills' so get it service by a shop. not told at all how the kbd is connected and to what. just he word speakers told? use the left rear, speaker line out L/R fails> (if yes bad external amp speakers or if using the internal speakers those are actually bad both? then the speakers inside are bad or the amp that drives the 2 are bad inside, we test those to find this out. inside speaks use inside speakers amps the to jack 1/4 inch inch are not amps, those are line out jacks. 100mV signals that only an external amp can juse, directly my guess, is the internal amp is bad. it needs service, by an electronic tech, as that is what it is. or blown fuse inside or things directly related to just the amp inside.

My Roland BK3 has no sound; i can hear the faint power sound through the speakers;the display is perfactly working but no sound coming out

Have you tried a different output cable? I know, it seems simple, but it's often the problem. If you have and the problem remains, I suggest calling the manufacturer to see if there is a known problem. Many manufacturers have a website & service number for resolving problems with their products.
