When I start my game, monitor goes black and out of range appears

I suspect the game is trying to run in a resolution that is either not supported by the monitor or your video card. If there is a setup/configuration for the game please run it to choose a different resolution.

You can tell the resolution your are currently running by looking in control panel, display, settings.

Your monitor supports a max resolution of 1280x1024, so if the minimum requirements of the game are higher then the monitor simply will not work with the game. If the monitor meets the requirements then lets look at the max resolution of the video card you are using.

Please let us know if this has solved your problem or if you would like further assistance.

The bottom of my screen is black and blue starting

I suggest either trying another monitor on the computer with this problem or plugging the monitor into another computer. That will isolate the fault to either the computer or the monitor.

Most times when i turn on my computer, the screen flashes.

it means your computer has caught the ati2dvag bug. This bug seems to affect ATI video cards.

The 2 most common “solutions” are:
  • Reinstall the ATI driver. You are advised to launch Windows in Safe Mode (press F8 before Windows boots), go to Windows Add/Remove programs and uninstall everything ATI. Remove the DAO/MDAC component as well. You can use the ATI removal tool utility which can be downloaded from the ATI website. The complete set of instructions on removing ATI can be found here on the ATI website.
  • Go to System Devices in My Computer > Properties > Hardware, and locate the option, PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge. This could under other names on your PC, so contact your PC vendor if you’re unsure. Right click, and select the “update driver” option. Manually search and install the PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge.

I have a ViewSonic VX910

There should be no liquid coming out from the cap at all. Is it the one that has 250~350vdc rating on it? The one in my pix has very small leak coming out, you can barely see it.
See pix here; http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/VIEWSONIC/Viewsonic%20VX710_910/?action=view&current=DSC00865.jpg

http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/VIEWSONIC/Viewsonic%20VX710_910/
It should have about 160vdc on this cap, be carefull, this is the HOT (LINE) side of the AC primary circuits!

No power. Green light won't come on. Checked it

The power supply caps may have failed for the set this old as you can see in my pictures here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Viewsonic%20VX710_910/

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

I have a ViewSonic VX910 LCD monitor. I turn it on

AllI can think of is that a tripler or inverter could be breaking down, causing the unit to go into auto
shutdown mode. Some devise is breaking down, and causing the unit to shut down.
Not an easy problem to troubleshoot unless you've got a schematic and tech skills.
Hope this helps
