Panasonic PV-GS150 Mini DV Digital Camcorder - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Compatible data card
I don't think this model has anything other than mini-DV tape. That's part of why the market is so saturated with mini-DV cams and hi-8. If there are memory slots -- take a poto and upload so we can troubleshoot.

I have a Panasonic pv-gs150
it will look better on disk than it does on the Mac... normally any way.
try a clip on dvd and pop it in your main tv. it should look just fine.
also to get best quality make sure your camera is clean (heads)

The playback feature is not
This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My pv-gs150 will not power
This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

Huge Loss Of Quality When Importing To Computer
First off, see if it has a firewire port, and if so then try to upload via firewire cable, not usb. But for any camera, you lose quality when uploading to a computer. What you could try doing is convert it to another format, this may improve quality some. Try not using widescreen, see what results you will get. Also, are you using internal memory on the camera or external (IE-SD card). From my experience, using a high quality SD card (SDHC for example) and getting a card reader (They are cheap, USB card readers about a buck on ebay) and uploading it like that, you get better quality video and pictures. Try some of these, if they don't work you can wait for another person to answer or email me.
Thanks, Aram

Push the reset button
let the camera sit alone for About 20 min,so that the camcorder automatically turned off. I turned it off,
then back on and did not receive the reset button prompt.
if that doesn't work unplug the battery and all power and plug back in.
