How to install Interior LEDs on 2010+ Jeep Grand Cherokee. ...Grand Cherokee A/C Control Unit Light Bulb Replacement (WK)
the problem is the transmission has a fault and is overheating the transmission oil
The transmission oil is cooled by a cooler in a tank of the radiator.
the high temperature of the transmission oil is what is causing the engine to over heat when driving but not at idle as that when the temperature in the oil is at it's highest
run the fault codes
If you are towing or travelling at high speeds it would make the problem worse
Take it to an accredited transmission specialist and have the transmission properly diagnosed
That error means that the computers in the vehicle are not talking to each other. The code specifies that the ABS module is not talking to the Emissions control module. It could be a bad ABS or wires or ecm.
Mopar reccomends using mopar brand hydraulic fluid / power steering fluid. DO NOT USE ATF. This will damage the system. Honestly i have never not used regular power steering fluid and have never had a problem. If you are refilling the entire system, I would use the mopar brand. If you're just topping it off you will be fine using any power steering fluid.
