I can presume that your monitor is turned ON or at standby power supply all the time 24/7. That makes the power supply is always availabe on circuit boards. 1. check the data cable or switch to new one... 2. Open your monitor there is data bus cable connected to LCD monitor from circuit board. clean it with CRC cleaner.. beware that the spray is done only and only on the socket of that cable.... 3. Reinsert that cable and check again... I think that due to continuous operation of LCD monitor some carbon has been deposited inside the jacket.

dear..... to do it set.... you have to open the box with due care as the electricity of the equipment should be turned OFF.... There is a main cable connected with the center of CRT and going onto a section of board called flyback.... is picture can easily been seen on net..... the rotate is anticlock slowly and you will find that brightness of you CRT is getting dimmer.... set is where you want.... actually its screen voltage regulation

just unplug the signal cable and see if it shows a warning! if it shows then the monitor is in some working condition! this problem mainly is not the monitors problem its the systems problem, it seem as if the system is in standby when u on it right??? it happens when the processor doesn't get supply or it refuses to come on! you will see that the red hdd load led will not light when u start the CPU; just open the CPU and unplug the smps from the board and blow the pins to clean them up and re-fix it and see it will work. if still it doesn't work try some other smps it will work! reply and revert back for more help with a vote!

is there a speaker or magnet adjacent to the monitor?

you have to open your monitor back. find a big part called flyback. there is two nossel in it. adjust forcus nobe litte bit for clear picture. this will definetly slove your problem.

bear.....my HMDA400 CRT Sony ..is doing the same thing....you need to discharge the CRT of static, then open the case and vacume the boards, heat sinks and every thing soldered down, strap grounds and the glass tube CRT.

Then run the self diognostic from the manual ..its simple and will tell you if the problem is major...usually it is a pwr issue...ie the pwr strip outlet may be shorting or pulsing erratical out put....bad strip......if the self diognostic shows the monitor is bad....best thing to do is replace the main monitor PC board to avoid testing other componants with speciality equpment you don't have! Last resort replace the CRT...the most expensive piece of the puzzle...ie the picture tube it self...

try a good known monitor on your system to be sure you don't have a software, or CPU problem or pwr glitch.....know this ,a black screen with no raster(lines, visuals) could be a sign of a faulty FBT(fly back transformer)...it happens with CRT units...sucks doesn't it...and you would be advised to" wear rubber gloves" to replace the FBT yourself....because of the dangerous voltage stored in the damn things.....its the current not the voltage that is deadly.....two hands on any circuit is not good....one hand at a time when taking parts out and putting them in.....get rid of rings watches and other conductive bling on your wrists and hands!....you will thank you me for that! good luck!

on your crt's manual menu you can resize the screen hit the menu button on your screen to begin or you can try the auto button

Is there still power to the monitor or is the screen just black? Do you hear any sort of sound when it goes black? Does the time the picture goes out vary or does it happen after say "X" minutes/hours everytime? Do you have any power saving software activated that would cause the monitor blank out? Check display properties? Sounds weird but have you checked for any viruses or spyrus nasties? If its hardware it could be many different things. Let me know what happens. Good Luck Tim

Monitor has gone to monitor heaven. time to do some shopping since repair not cost effective.

Why do they need to be turned on all the time? If your using them as security cameras they are not designed for that job. The 330 could be overheating because of the constant use. Some cameras have a built in 'Overheat' switch which could be switching it off. These cameras are designed for short periods of use, recording things like parties and holiday trips. How old are these handycams? These do get old and the technology in them can wear out if in constant use.
