I do not think it is your monitor. Plug it into another working machine to see what it does. The result will tell you whether it is the monitor or the computer.
How to link monitors to one PC tower
By "monitors" you mean more than 2.
You can find a internal pci or e-pci card with dual output ports.
You need to buy a vga separator. It's a adapter box with several vga and other output ports and a vga input port. This is somehow expensive.
Hope this helps.

Maybe the problem is in your control panel (where the buttons are located) maybe one of the buttons are in normally close state, where in the button is already pressed.first check the buttons use a multimeter to check a good push button reading when not press is 0L in digital multimeter while in analog the reading you get is nothing. and when the buttons is pressed the reading must be 000 it means that the button is good. For the E771MM, press and hold the OK button on the monitor for 15+ to toggle off the OSD lock. Holding the button turns on the OSD lock as well. The OK button is the rightmost of the control buttons (excluding the power button). This is a useful feature if a small child will be near the monitor or if the monitor is being used for demonstrations.
The user's manual for the Dell E771MM is here:

My monitor is not showing the proper colors. Green
Do not put your speaker near your monitor and any device that have
magnet on it. It will damage your monitor colors. If degaussing it not
helps you, you can try to use your speaker. Move again your speaker
near your monitor and use its magnet to remove the color scattered on
your screen. Check also your cable connections. IT might some pins was
skewed up. Don't open your monitor own your own. It's hazardous. It
still holds thousands of voltage even not connected to the outlet.
Bring it to professional if do you think you can't solve it own your
own.
My Dell monitor gives sharp
Hi!
I used to have a monitor similar to yours, from the noise you are describing is it like a crack? or an high voltage electrical spark/arc? (Mini lightening flash sound).
The Monitor I had De-gaussed each time it was switched on this is a weird thing that lines up the colour guns. If done whilst in use it gives the brief appearance of a shimmy/shake to the screen.
Have you a menu bar on or near the power on/ off switch? if you do try looking for De-gausse it may inadvertently become switched on to auto. You can De-gausse manually.
I do hope this helps.
