Dell 1900 fp monitor driver

Go to GOOGLE and type DRIVERS for your exact product and model of monitor, which will hopefully give you the correct drivers to download. Softonic would be one place to look. CNET would be another.

MY DELL 1900FP WILL NOT POWER ON

Open and look at the tops of the capacitors. I bet there are at least 2-3 "bulging" tops. Replace them and the problem WILL be solved;.

My dell 1900 fp has no image on screen, power led

Hey,

the problem is either the powersupply, the inverter, lamps or the mainboard.

It could be as simple as few bad electrolyte capacitors on the powerboard or it might be as bad as a faulty mainboard, or the inverter for the backlights is not working anymore.

If you want to fix this yourself you really would need previous experience, replacing both the mainboard and powersupply yourself is going to cost around the price of a used monitor or a new monitor, you would need to know your way around these things to repair them.

to make sure the backlight lamps work you would have to test them on a laptop inverter or another working display.

if they are all OK and light up, then the issue is either the powerboard or mainboard, you would need to measure the voltages going to the mainboard and that they are up to specifications.

If the voltages are steady and look good (12, 5, 3 most likely) then the issue is either with the inverter circuitry on the powersupply its unable to power up the backlight inverters or its not geting proper feedback signal from the backlights telling the board that theres something wrong and it won't stay powered on (blinks on and off)

in that case you would probably have to replace the powerboard.

But now back to the blinking amber if you disconnect the vga cable or dvi cable does that change to change signal cable?

if it keeps blinking then the problem is what I've already posted.

if it stops blinking and you get no signal picture on the screen and it stays on the screen, that tells us that the powersupply, inverter, backlights are OK.

the mainboard of the display might be malfunctioning, it looks like its unable to read the signal from the computer, try another pc if possible or another way of connecting it to a pc.

the mainboards components are too small for us to get into at home, the most likely issue is the MCU chip that would need to be replaced to a new one (or a working one from another same model display not sold separately) or then the bigger chip that processes the signal is faulty or has lost its programming.

For you as a home user you can only replace the mcu or the whole mainboard to solve that problem. it just gets way too complicated after that.

I hope that you credit me with the 2$ for my time and effort on this solution, surely I've atleast saved you some time, and definitely the above is worth more than 2 $.

Extreme ghosting

From where I sit, understanding LCD's and all thier quirks I would buy it.

From where you are with your technical terms you can go 2 ways.. both good.

If you can get this cheap and have no expectation of getting it to work, it could be a valuable learning tool for you in future screens.
Secondly, you could open it up and find a few dead capacitors that have been messing with the power supply to the panel and causing the issue, correct it for a few dollars and get it running again.

Like I said, it's really a win win as long as you accept before you do it that it may just end up being something to help you later on.
