Dell e173fpb on off

Is it just turning itself off after you turn it on? Do you see a power on self test (POST) with the colored bars before it does this? There are a few causes and usually it results in replacing the unit unless you are knowledgeable enough to trouble shoot and service it. I don't recommend this as some people not experienced can electrocute themselves tinkering with the power supply and the various parts. Many displays will shut off if its not getting a signal so if there is nothing hooked up or a bad cable from the video source, then it may be shutting off because of this. Give some further details if you can. Cheers.

Check your Power options in Windows.

right click on the desktop. select properties, Gop to the screen saver tab, click on the power button at the bottom right and check to see if its set to turn off or standby the monitor, turn this off.

Keep the screen saver on and set it for like ten minutes.

My lcd computer freezes very sudden

Press and hold down the power button until the computer shuts off. Run the computer in "safe mode" - by pressing F8 during boot the safe mode selection can be found. If the computer does not freeze then you may have a virus or the hard drive is corrupted.

COMPAQ FP7317 IS VERY DIM ALL OF THE TIME

If the display is dim like on half of the screen or any kind of color variation, this could mean that your monitors CCFL lamps are going bad, more so than the display High voltage inverter, unless you can web search on how to replace the CCFL lamps for your monitor, it may be time for a new one..

My monitor is on but the backlight is off. When you swicht the monitor at first, the lights come and go. I did check the inverter side and i fund out that pair of the driver transistors were dead. I d

When you replace the transistors you should change all 4 of the C5707 transistors. You also need to resolder all of the connections to the 4 output transformers and the 4 output plug connections. If you did not resolder the these additional connections then the new transistors you install are more the likely dead now. The solder joints can crack because of the current and this causes the circuit to pull more amps than the transistors can handle. The new ones will blow within 2-3 seconds if you did not resolder the other connections.

You supply insufficient information. Dell beep codes are in groups of 3 and are encodedby the number in each group. I don't know if there is a monitor with a function button to turn off the power save mode.
As far as I know the power save mode of the monitor can be found in the display setting of the windows..

Anyway... If you want to turn off the power save mode of the monitor via windows display setting then here is what you need to do:

On control panel, double click display settings.. click the screen saver tab... on the lower portion Press the "power" button.. Select power schemes tab.. Change the settings of" turn the monitor off" to "never"
Click apply and then OK..

Hope it gave you an idea..
