Screen Display is jumbled
Without knowing what your model number is for your monitor there's no way to tell what your resolution capabilities are. But most likely you are onto the solution which would be your manager resolution is set to the wrong setting. You will need to adjust that if it is possible otherwise you'll need to get a new monitor if you want to see the correct view.

Display on monitor has swapped from vertical to horizontal
Type ctrl-alt then use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys until it's where it's supposed to be.
If that doesn't work, right click on the desktop, select graphics properties. Then there should be a display settings, there you'll see where you can change the rotation of the display.

Blackness on monitor
Hi,
A common problem to LCD displays. If you can somehow still see the desktop (...barely see the picture ...) then chances are that you have a backlight problem. This may either be the light itself which is a thin florescent lamp (CCF) or the inverter that powers it.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.

On a 2009 Hyundai 1.6 on the chains how many links separated the 2 cams
are you sure that it is a 1.6 motor
as 1.6 motors use a belt not a chain
your statement that it has 12 on each cam indicates that it is a v engine or a double over head engine
in any case you do not count links but put the colored links directly over the sprocket dots
you have to use a cam locking tool to get it right
