After about 1 minute warmup
The problem you are describing is in the inverter board that powers the back lights behind the screen. The cause is bad capacitors in most cases and develop a bulge at the top indicating it is open. Repairs can be attempted or the board replaced.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
Test the leads that attach to your ((hard drive from the motherboard)) or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive))
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Need power cord for hyundaiimage quest model B9oD
You can find a replacement power adapter from your local electronics store, just bring the dead one with you so you can match up the correct voltage requirements and the bullet connector for the right size. If not try ebay, you will probably find a replacement on that site

Hi; the upper part of your keyboard closest to the screen or the last row of keys contains a BRIGHTNESS key...
Press and hold the Fn key (usually italic and purple color) and press the Brightness (sometimes depicted by a bright bulb) key and observe if there's a change in brightness...remember to hold down the Fn key while adjusting the brightness. I hope this helps since you did not mention computer type or keyboard arrangement!

The speakers dont work in the moniter L70S
I'm assuming you have the sound cable plugged into the back of the monitor and then into the computer. If not, do it. Then go through the steps you normally would to check sound--are the drivers installed, is the sound on (not muted) etc. Are the speakers turned on by the controls on the monitor itself?
If none of these work, go buy external speakers.

No power
Mine did the same the other day and all I had to do was replace the fuse in the plug. Just a thought if your monitor gets power direct and not through the PC
Good Luck
