This usually means the power board is not putting out the correct voltages to run the monitor correctly. The power board can be repaired if you can solder parts. Check out the pictures on our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm Now open the back of your monitor and check for parts that look like the blown capacitors in the pictures on our site. Replace any that you see and you should be back running again. The values you need to purchase will be marked on the sides of the bad ones that come out of your board, it will be marked like 220uf, 470uf, 1000uf etc and a voltage value. Be sure to order a high quality part not like from Radio Shack, also use a high temp replacement 105c marking. This means the graphics card video settings is set incorrectly.Go to Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and change the Screen Resolution to 1024 X 768 (you may change it to a higher resolution later) then click on Advance button - Monitor tab and change the Screen refresh Rate to 60 Hertz. (you can increase it to 72 later if required)

Check to see if there is dust in the vents on the monitor. Blow them out with canned air or dust them with a brush the best that you can. The lines could be caused by over heating which usually happens when the vents are plugged by dust.

If this does not solve the problem then the monitor has overheated to the point of burning pixels and needs to be replaced. Over time the lines with grow wider and wider until they cover your screen.

Disable cross fire and see if the issue goes away.

i have a few thing to help you with this problem, but first if the monitor old, used a lot or left on all the time than it is time for new on. first right click on screen using the mouse than go down to screen resolution than find the detect button after thats done go to Identify select that one, after you done all that than go to advanced settings and open the folder, than check the adapter, monitor, troubleshoot, color management, than select color management check all settings. 2 way is to go to control panel open color management folder, for your general information for you monitor and other options you mite want to review understanding color management settings find advanced tab find calibrate display, it will run a lot of tests and have you answer some question about visual site and what you like in the settings of the monitor. you mite look in to video card manufacture and see if they have any tools for the drivers game apps or programs that runs other than video card drivers, like i have nvidia video card and i went to there website and downloaded so software, nvidia control panel for gamers, 3d adjusting color settings and video image settings, change the aspect ratio, resulation, refresh rate, lots of tools for games and gamers and i do not play a lot of games but i like to have a lot of option that i would not have had before. thank you rod PS make sure all drivers are up to date you will find it in control panel and than open device manager and find video drives, monitors, display adapter.

Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.
