Using .MOD Files In Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 solutions are flawed.

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

use their free converter, i've been using it ever since i needed to convert files for my picky nokia 770. personally i convert the .mod files into .avi, and .mp3 (since premiere doesn't recognize the audio as an .avi) its pretty straightforward on how to set it, it even comes with its own codecs

JVC EVERIO gz-mg330 does not appear as drive

Another solution is to make sure you are using the usb cable that came with the camera. For some reason, if I use any other, the computer won't recognize the camera. It's the one with the magnet. In fact, mine has two magnets on it.

While videoing inside footage isn't clear, what

I think it's low lighting that's giving you the problem. A lot of cameras and camcorders have this problem. They just can't focus correctly in low light situations. Getting more light on the subject will help solve this problem. Just like our eyes, they need light to "see" clearly.

Lens cap error

This problem usually occur when the camera is running whilst the lens cap is put on. Try to turn off the camera and remove the battery pack for a couple of hours and then put it back and turn the camera on. If this does not work, try to reset your camera back to factory defaults. Please let me know if this works.

The camera will not turn on. We need the data out

IF there is a hard drive in the unit you may be able to remove that and hook it up to a PC via a USB to hard Drive adapter, then remove the data with that use a program called unstopable copier. link below.

Do MOD files still exist

Hey

if you didn't empty the camcorder then they all should still be in there, just download them again, if you formatted or emptied the camcorder then you need to use a data recovery software like filescavenger to recover http://www.quetek.com/prod02.htm please use the free trial to scan and see if it finds the files.

Then you can recover those files to your computers hard drive. note that the content is lost if you record new video on top of the old ones, and will not be recoverable.

also if the camcorder is used to take pictures or recordings after it was emptied the new content would overwrite the old content and it would not be recoverable or partly un usable.

I have converted videos from my minicam to an AVI

1st of all can you play the movie on your computer? If not, you are probably missing the programs and drivers necessary to do anything with the AVI file.
Videos on the computer generally run with avi or mpeg files. You have to have the drivers to play these files before you can run them.... otherwise, there should be no reason why they don't run.

JVC Everio GZ-360BU Camera Temperature is Too Low - Keep Power On??

I'm an English guy with the same problem... What you do is keep the power on for a long time, or you charge it up with the charger. Trust me. However, it is very rare for this to occur. There should be a message saying: "Temperature is too low, keep power on." There should be another message reading: "Turn off power and turn on again to check if camera is fully-functional. Thanks for giving me something to do while X-Plane downloads on my Mac OS X.

My JVC Everio GZ-MG30 will

Your battery has developed a memory. This is common with electroncs, laptops, cell phones, and yes cameras! You will need to replace your battery. To get the most from your new battery, fully charge before using the camera. Do not re-charge until the battery is all but dead, then fully charge before using. Always do it this way and you will get optimum life expectancy from your devices. Unfortunately, we tend to re-charge prematurely and even use devices while charging...which is ok, but when we do not fully charge, or we plug in before the dying end, the battery begins to develop a memory and thinks it doesn't need as much charge until eventually, the device will not work unless plugged in. Good Luck. I hope this is helpful.
