You have a bad connection or break in the wiring. Fix that and your monitor will work properly. Could be the wire itself or the plug you use to plug into.

Check the video cable pins on both ends, also try it with another PC, or new cable.

How do i get out

To get the computer back up again and out of hibernation you should just hold the power button down until it shuts off completely. Some laptops won’t shut off even if you do this. When this happens you have to take the battery out to get it to turn off. Make sure it is not plugged into the wall when you do this otherwise it wont work.

Also the following may be of interest.
You must be logged on as an administrator or member of either the Administrators or Power Users group in order to successfully complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, the forced network policy settings may prevent you from completing this procedure. In this case please consult your Network Administrator.
  1. Click Start, then Control Panel, and then double-click Power Options.
  2. Click the Hibernate tab, and then select the Enable hibernate support check box.
If the Hibernate tab is not available, your computer does not support this feature.
  3. Click OK to close the Power Options dialog box.
  4. Click Start, and then click Shut Down then select Hibernate.
If you are using Windows XP Home Edition, or Windows XP Professional with Fast User Switching turned on, the Shut Down menu will present the options to Stand By, Turn Off, or Restart your computer. Hold down the Shift key, and the Stand By button will change to Hibernate.

The monitor doesn't go on. the orange standby

Sounds like the issue is with your video card/onboard video chip or the connection between the monitor and the pc. Verify the cable from the monitor is connected to the pc firmly & snugly. See if the monitor gets a picture on a known working pc. If so, then it's a (relatively) simple fix - work on the videocard - if add-in, try reloading drivers, ensure the onboard video is disabled in the BIOS, or (worst case) replace the video card. If it's onboard, again, try replacing/updating drivers and, if that fails your next step is to either get an add-in video card, or replace the mobo. make sure the video cable is inserted firmly. is it is, the video cable wires are loose inside the monitor which it is not getting the signal, telling it to go on standby mode.

I need to know how to do a factory reset on a lacie 4Big Quadra enterprise.

  1. Disconnect all cables from the device.
  2. Press and hold the "reset" button (located on the rear panel) for about 10 seconds.
  3. Wait for the device to restart and initialize. This may take several minutes.
  4. Reconnect the cables to the device and try accessing it again.
Note: It's recommended to backup all data stored on the device before performing a factory reset, as all data will be lost during the reset process.
