How to transfer video to a computer. You will need to select your OS after clicking that link, then your connection method (USB may not be an option for your camera, some need what Sony call "i.Link" and everyone else calls Firewire).
Hi, I have a sony
The most likely problem is that you have a physically worn part, and it's not letting the electrical switch release the cassette. To fix this, the exact source of the problem will have to be identified, which means servicing.
Take it by a reputable camera shop, and see what they think.
Get an estimate, and go from there. These cameras can come up for auction on Ebay for a good price, sometimes, so it's good to keep all options open.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Need vista support drive
Since Windows Vista doesn't support USB Streaming, it's not possible to transfer the videos to the Computer using the USB connection.
However, you may transfer the videos to the Computer using an i.Link or an AV connection.
The AV port is similar to the Composite port of the TV.
i.LINK is the same as Fire-wire/IEEE1394. It is a D Shaped connector of either 4 or 6 pins. The type of cable to be used will depend on the i.LINK port of your Computer.
However, it's required to have the Analog or the i.Link Capture Card installed on the Computer to stream Videos using the AV and the i.Link connection respectively.
It's required to purchase either a 4 - pin to 4 - pin or a 4 - pin to 6 - pin i.LINK / Fire-wire cable depending on the number of pins on the i.LINK / Fire-wire port of your computer (since Camcorder will have only 4PIN i-LINK, while the Computer may have a 4PIN or 6 PIN i.LINK port).
If your computer does not feature this port, you may contact your Computer retailer to install a separate i.LINK Capture card in your Computer.
The software and driver to be used for video transfer will be supplied by the computer manufacturer (if the computer came with an i.LINK interface) or else by the i.LINK card manufacturer.

Eject problem SOny TRV-110E
The vlatch to spring the basket (cassette holder) is easy to access on these. Many times the eject process will take place if the holder is released. After the door is removed the holder can be released by gentley raising the latch on the right side of the holder assembly. After the tape is out further checks can be made for damp drum or tension issues.
