Used to get this problem and would just go about take the battery out,and also give the thing a good whack,

clean the heads of your video camera buddy !! use a cotton bud tip, with a touch (NOT SATURATED) of turps......an LCD screen cannot show bad tape speckle or white noise like the old vhs on a tv tube used too....remember when an old VHS Tape needed tracking?...thats what your camera is trying to tell you....but....it needs a clean as the LCD screen cannot show fuzz.....and waits for a good frame to display.....CLEAN THE VIDEO DRUM MATE !!

I have Sony camera recorder CCD-TRV228E PAl Hi8.....
t is working OK,but i cant see anything on the display...
Somebody told me it was something like ICT orr TCI4 chip....
Can anybody tell me something about this probllem..??

The built-in backup battery is not intended as a user-replaceable item. Try charging it according to the instruction on page 86 of the manual. If that doesn't solve the problem then you need to take the camcorder to an authorized Sony repair shop and have the battery replaced.

the internal memory battery is dead it is used to store all internal memory have it replaced

there is problem with video head use cleaning tape for 5 secound to clean your video head then check if still problem then use more 5 secound hopefully problem sloved.
after that if still have problem then need to replaced video head.

You will need to buy a usb adapter such as the USB-Live2 or simular set up. I just saw one online at walmart. The S video jack on your computer is for output not input. Also, the USB-Live2 adapter at walmart is a little expensive, you may be able to find one cheaper at monoprice but it will be a different brand.

You will need to fit a video capture card to your PC. Most cheap TV cards have video input. Connect the video and audio output from the camera to the PC card, start the camera on playback and record the video on PC.

It will probably record as an avi file which can be converted to DVD format using for example Nero though there are many progs agailable for free on the web. Burn the files to DVD.

I typed in TRV- 460E , but I was not sure it was a correct match you might want to double check.

I couldn't find any circuit diagrams at this time.
