My mag Innovision flat lcd monitor is blank after 3 seconds..

It is not easy. I slip a knife in the bottom edge and slowly work my way around the bottom opening it a little by little. Once you get the bottom and part of each side you can push the plastic towards the top and it will pop off. There are plastic clips holding the bezel down. I always break a couple on opening, but at least the monitor gets fixed. This is not made to open, so good luck.

Lyris F199 fades in and fades out

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Monitor blacks out

Sounds like your video adapter settings have been wedged. If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, you can use the following steps. 1) Boot the laptop into safe mode. Boot into safe mode with networking support if possible. This can be done by tapping the F8 key as the computer first turns on. 2) Once you are at the Desktop, right click on My Computer and select Manage. 3) In the window that appears, select Device Manager from the menu on the left. 4) Find Display Adapters on the right and click the plus sign. This will list the video adapter that you have. NOTE: WRITE this down EXACTLY. You may need to go and get drivers for this. Seeing this is an older model, I doubt you'll need it, but better to be safe then sorry. 5) Go to your manufacturers support web site and download these drivers. You may not need them, but better to be safe then sorry. http://tcc.toughbook.com/ NOTE: Skip step 5 if you did not boot with network support or cannot get to the Internet. This can be done from normal mode. 6) Right click on the display adpater and choose un-install. Hit OK on the window that appears and reboot the machine when the process is done. 7) The machine will take longer than usual to boot, as Windows XP is re-discovering the video adapter and resetting everything to the defaults. When it is done booting, the screen may look weird since the settings are now the defaults. You can the set them to what you want by right clicking on the desktop and selecting properties. Then go to the settings tab. 8) IF it did not re-discover the video adapter (this can be confirmed through the device manager), then go ahead and install the drivers. Windows Update will most likely also have the drivers. NOTE: This process should work with Windows 2000 as well, although I was not able to test it. The only issue I can think of is that it may not auto-discover the video adapter, and you would have to manually download and install the drivers.

MAG Innovision 19" TFT LCD Flat Panel Monitor

the monitor has bad backlights or circuitry. Call the company, their number should be in the owners manual. Or, look on the web for their website. Or, call the store where you bought it. The monitor must be taken to a service centre for repair.

My ViewSonic monitor just blacks out for no reason

It could be a setting you could have done on the "Power Saving" settings under "Screen Saver" settings, if you have Windows XP. Like "Turn off monitor after" a certain time. Even if you don't have Windows, please check the Power Save settings.

Monitor screen goes out (black) 2 seconds after turning on

Your site is extremely misleading and fraudulent. I was under the impression that I would at least get a hint at what might be a problem instead of you folks making me wait to get a money for something answer that you could have displayed on your main page. Places like yours have no place on the internet and I'm going to find out what I can do to report you.

Thank's for nothing

No sound out of monitor speakers

Is there actually any unknown devices in the device`manager?

Are your monitor speakers USB or do they plug into the audio out jack of your sound card or motherboard???

If they plug into the sound jack, then test the sound output with a pair of headphones.

Hope this helps you narrow it down. Please reply back if you need further help

MAG innovision LT917s problems

K I just fixed mine! I hope you still have your screen dude. Its easy. Take the screen apart, and take the monitor part off, open up the part thats attached to the back, and remove the big silicon peace thats attached with the golden bolts. Look at the capacitors, if they are bulged up then they are broken, go to radioshack and buy some new ones, they are 470uF 25v 105C, but 470uF 35v and 85C will work as well. Solder them off and put the new ones on, connect everything and it'll work like new. Just did it today and saved myself 200 from buying a new screen!

David8 - Capacitor change was perfect solution

I'm not a 100% sure on how long it will last you, but I doubt your monitor will go over 185F degrees even while running all day and since it's a higher voltage it wont get blown as easily. I only changed mine a few weeks ago, but some other guy who did the same said he's has been working for like a year now without any problems. I think they'll last longer than the originals.

Monitor black

refixed all cables connecting to monitor. then start,

if you are sure that the monitor is ok, then these are only things to test

check memory and fixed it very well, then start, if the same problem,
check Video card and fixed it very well, then start, if same problem,

examine processor and motherboard. by doing this, you should remove the memory and start the system. if produces long beep means memory and processors are good.

there is no other thing to examine on this matter.
