Mag lt456s power supply bad

The correct one would be 12v @ 2.5 to 3 Amp.
If the set used less current than 1 amp it would be in milliamp (500ma which is half an Amp)etc.

As long as you get one that is 12v @ 2.5 to 3 amp it will be fine.
You could buy one with a higher current rating like 4,5,6 or more Amp's as long as it's 12v DC. The set will only use the current that it needs to function so I higher current won't hurt. It's the voltage you have to make sure is correct. If you do buy one with a higher current rating it will probably last longer because it wont get so hot.

MAG Innovision LT456s monitor power issue.

If you ask them nicely they just might tell you, else it's only $5 for a user manual(sorry no luck online); http://www.maginnovision.com/service.htm this link has a picture that maybe shows a power cable going to the bottom right (as you look at it) but it's hard to be sure; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-images/B0002CF06K/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_all/104-1966292-9407907?ie=UTF8&s=electronics#gallery this link shows what the power lead should be like - look for a hole that matches; http://cgi.ebay.ca/AC-power-adapter-for-MAG-innovision-lt456s-14-LCD_W0QQitemZ8824271526QQcategoryZ3698QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Hope this helps, if not ask again :)

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A

I think you are experiencing something that happens a lot when you change monitors, possibly 'downsizing'? Your graphics settings on your actual PC were set too high for the new, smaller flat-screen, so what you'll have to do is hook it back up to another monitor, even an older CRT-style one, and then do the following steps before hooking it back up to your new 14" LCD:
  1. boot into Windows as usual, but on an older, perhaps larger monitor
  2. right-click on any empty area on your desktop, then left-click on 'Properties' at the bottom of the little pull-down menu that pops up
  3. when 'Display Properties' window comes up, click on the very last tab to the right, labelled ''Settings'
  4. find the 'Screen Resolution' slider bar about two-thirds the way down that window, and adjust the slider control to a more standardized, universal setting, like '800x600', or even '1024x786'. Either of those should work with your new LCD flatscreen.
  5. make sure you click 'OK' on that window, then 'Shut Down' Windows properly (using the Start button, and all that)
  6. disconnect your old monitor, and hook your new one back up. It should work!
This happens a lot. I build HTPCs, so it's even worse the more 'options' you have, believe me.
Hope this helps!

How do I connect a

Hi Jeff,

Not sure what you are trying to connect, This monitor is over 8 years old. It will only have a VGA connection and the power connector. If you are looking for a DVI connector, it does not have one.

The connections it does have would be on the bottom edge of the monitor.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Your resolution is probably not set correctly. That monitor can only support a resolution of 1024x768 - so to change that, you'll need to go into Start - Control Panel - Display Settings, and then click on the settings tab, and near the bottom where it says "display resolution" drag the slider until it says 1024x768. Press apply or ok and see if that helps.

You can buy a power cord at any Lowes, Home Depot, Radio Shack or Best Buy. The power cord is not unique to the monitor.
