Slightly Blurred images on monitor

If it is a CRT monitor then the tube may be going out. A new monitor is about $129 for many of the cheap monitors I suggest you swap it for a newer flat screen. Dave

Power light flashes with no display

That usually means that the connection between the PC and the monitor has been interupted- check that the cable (probably has blue ends) between the two is firmly connected, and power it back up. If that doesn't work, you have one of three problems; a broken VGA cable, a broken monitor, or a broken video card. Finding out which- you'll actually need someone tech-savvy there to help you figure that out. Try plugging the monitor into a different computer. If that fails, use a different VGA cable (cables are pretty cheap at monoprice.com), and if that fails, it's your video card.

Sounds like symptoms that the monitor needed to be degaussed (pronounced "Dee' Gowsed"),
and, since most modern (conventional CRT) monitors will degauss themselves upon power-up,
it looks like your restart addressed the problem.

Usually, a CRT that need to be degaussed will develop blurring at the edges first, but its possible
that the monitor was affected by stray magnetic field(s) over time, and failed to successfully
degauss at initial startup (the degaussing circuit won't necessarily succeed the first time if a large magnetic field has built up).

Here's your wikipedia entry on the concept:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degaussing

Here's a how-to, in case you want to (or end up needing to) do it manually:

It looks like a .PDF service manual may be available free here:

Yellowish screen

On a CRT, "yellow" is a mixture of all 3 "primary" colours.

So, if you are expecting some other colour, then one of the 3 "guns" that are emitting one of the primary colours is NOT working correctly.

For less than $100, you can purchase a new, 19-inch (not 17-inch) LCD (not CRT) monitor.
This is less expensive than taking the CRT to a TV/video store for trouble-shooting and repair.

How do you clean the screen?

Use glass cleaner on a rag and wipe the screen that way. Doing it this way will allow you to clean the screen without getting excess anywhere else where it might leak into the screen.

MAG 786PF - Does its resolution good for Digial camera?

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
