check your cables especially to the power supply or check your outlet if it is giving the complete consumption of power to the monitor.

Set your computer to 1280 by 1024 by 60 Hertz, for the best picture.

It can be the 12vdc power supply problem dues to bad caps, or failed backlight inverter circuits, you need to some inspections and voltage checking.

You are not getting any video out of your computer need to check your video hook up from the back of the computer to the mointor sometimes they slip off. If its not that then you are receiving nothing from your video card from your computer.

Yellow light means it is not getting the video signal from PC, try it on another PC first, if it stilldoes not work then you need to open it up.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). Sounds like bad caps in the inverter circuit affecting the ccfls.

Sounds like the inverter is dying/died. Take a flashlight and shine it directly or at a large angle at the screen - is the picture still there? If so then the backlight inverter has failed (very common). You can either send it off to get fixed (expensive) OR buy a new inverter and change it yourself (sometimes cheap, sometimes expensive) OR you can repurpose another inverter in your monitor (requires electronic skills and experience but very cheap - http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=ccfl+light+kit )
