C:13:02 Disc error remove disc

you put disc back in the camera and then finalise it?normally on DCR-DVD905 you go to the options> finalise
then you take the mini disc out and can use it on the PC
if you took the mini disc out before finalising it you may have corrupted it.
There is an option to un-finalise it if you wish to add more data later

The open session needs to be closed before you can read the DVD on the camcorder or on a PC.

- Download the free DVD Decryptor from the link below and install it on your PC...
http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/

- Load the miniDVD disc into the DVD Writer in your PC and click Tools > Drive > Close and then choose Track/Session/Disc (Try the three options in that order)

- Once the track or session is closed you should be able to read your data.

if that doesnt work
Try to use a cotton swap to 1st clean the recording lens or blow gently on it. Place an empty disc in, format the disc, record a little scene. Turn off camcorder. Place the error disc in the camcorder, turn on the camcorder all the way to play/edit. If this doesn't work turn it to record and try to record.

If the error still persists, the disc has not been finalized which is usually fatal for the recorded data!

In that case, you still have a chance with isobuster (which is not free) though recovery is not alwasy guaranteed. Here is a link you might like to check out...

Lcd screen is blank, if wiggled, sometimes comes

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and will require disassembling the camera and LCD assembly to repair. This can be done fairly inexpensively but it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

C:13:02

After having formatted the memory stick with the cardreader on my laptop which runs on winxp I tried to use the stick in my sony dsc-p5 but all I got was the C:13:01 error message. So I tried to format it again but eith FAT instead of FAT32 which is the regular format on winxp. Now the disc adapter which I use on my desctop to read the memory sticks worked again with the stickt, my camara still gave me the message of not being able to read the stick so I removed the stick, got into the setup mode, reinserted the stick and formatted it with the camara. This worked, I hope this can help you.

Is there any way to

There is a way to get back those error video files from your digital camcorder, BUT it is just possible. Because if those deleted files has been overwritten by new files you saved in, then there is no hope. However usually overwritten cases are hard to happen as long as the memory card or hard disk has enough volume.

Then, take so called data recovery program to handle the issue and see if you can grab some or all of the deleted files back. Here are some recovery software you may take a try.

If you are running Windows, try this video photo recovery program.
If you are using Mac OS X, turn to this Mac photo video recover software.

You should take care - before your files are recovered, do not save more files to the device concerned(do not take more videos or photos) in case overwritten situation will happen.

Just bought one 2nd hand,

This camera uses a separate battery charger. It won't charge in the camera. As you didn't get the charger with the camera, you will have to obtain one. I found lots of them by searching for "DCR-DVD92 charger" on Amazon.

Hi,

The problem you are facing with your camcorder is actually a disc error;
Simply remove the disc and reinsert it back after 5mins.
Problem solved.

Take care..

Sony handycam dvd92 battery warning

Yes the good old DVD camera, you like millions of others get this problem with that model, it is looking like DVD disk cameras have a 84% break-down problem, we need to get Sony to start to make proper cameras that use 8mm tape again, it is a media which does work well.

The battery warning light comes

Hello there, Does the battery light flashes during the charging as well? If yes, then this may be a bad battery. The normal scenario is that during the battery is being charged, the light should be steady, otherwise, the battery pack is just bad. Make sure also that the battery is properly inserted on the camera.

Wont play disc back that it recorded.

I get loads of the same question you ask every day, the DVD disks do sadly fail, out of a pack of 10 you can say that 2 will not write or play back, this is still the reason most pro movie makers like myself will only use movie tape today like the Hi 8 mm sort.
Also beware as we have found that lots of DVD disks we have made over 9 years ago no longer will work, so never feel your precious movies are pernament with this new mode of recordings.
