Press the OK button for 15 seconds. That should unlock it.

check u'r degusing section u'r degusing is not working if it works then change CRT

if u'r eng. change the crt base in video board or u'can set u'r defocusing prob by EHT focusing section

Try another monitor with your computer if this still doesenty work then your graphics card is at fault

Crackling sounds are probably due to a couple of capacitors failing due to age, on the control board. (They can also "whine"). Should be easily replaceable by any experienced technician. Not a difficult job.

find the manufature of the video card, use the old monitor and go to the video card manufacture and download the video driver.

OFTEN in addition to screws there are little plastic grabbers that have to be released to open the cases.

You can lock or unlock the OSD by pushing the Menu button for over 15 seconds.

invest in a better monitor. Philip has never put out a good product.

sound like the power supply or the monitor bulb is going.
try the monitor on another PC if you can get one, if it works, then you have to find ou the manufature of the video card and get the driver.

Yes, after looking around this seems to be a common issue with this monitor. You can try re-setting it to factory settings.
