NEC MultiSync 1760NX 17" LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
Intermittent display problem, NEC Multisync 1760NX
This usually happens when the resolution is set incorrectly for the monitor. If you have been using the same setup, probably an update changed the driver or setting for the video card. If it is a new monitor, try hooking up the old one and change the resolution to something the new monitor can understand. If you have been using it for some time and this is all of a sudden, then try to borrow a monitor and change the resolution to something the monitor can understand. If you borrow one and can get it working, also look and make sure the video card has a driver installed. Sometimes an update can change things.
Screen is yellow
Sound like you lost one of your colors (red, green, or blue). You can try an autosync function on the monitor, if there is one, or autocolor adjust, or something similar. But it sounds like the monitor LCD panel might be defective beyond repair. Youn can check your color levels. SOmetimes one will drop to zero for no reason. Try running your finger (pushing lightly on the LCD) around the edge of the monitor screen. Sometimes a transistor just gets stuck and you can close it back up. Keep track of where your finger is when the picture is correct, and home in on the exact spot. Then, just massage that area with your finger until the display looks right. That doesn't always work, but it's worth a try.
How do you restart a nec lcd monitor, had power
The power surge probably blew the fuse inside the tv, first check the fuse inside the mains plug, if that is good then you will have to take the back cover off the tv, you are looking for the power board follow the mains cable into the tv and you will find it. Look for a fuse on the board, pop it out of the fuse holder, if you have or can get hold of a multimetre check the fuse for continuity if it hasnt you will have get hold off another fuse, you can normally get them from your local electrical repair shop, they dont cost much and the liklyhood is they will probably give you one free of charge.

Hi frnd.. there is a test known as Monitor self test to perform this just power on the monitor and unplug the flex cable.. U will see a logo bouncing up and down.. if this happens then it means the monitor is fine...
Green light is flashing and screen won't come on
Try another monitor on that computer and see if it boots up with video. If you still get the same problem then that means there is something wrong with the computer. If you get video this time then that means there is something wrong with the original monitor.
On your original monitor, make sure there is no bent pins and that the cable is connected properly.
At least this way you will know whether its the computer or monitor.
If its the computer thats the problem that at least go ahead and try to take out the memory and CPU and put them back into there respective slots and blow some air onto them so its not a spec of dust or dirt that is affecting the video.
Help Please!
power supply is bad on one of its legs(12 volt or 5 volt) you can have that bench tested at a service center or use a volt meter to check the output on the cables probably the 5 volt as the agp and the dvd roms cdroms etc need 5 volts to operate
No audio output
Some monitors do no come with built in speakers and a sound system much be purchased to have sound from pc.
