LM729. starts ok, but then

This is a pretty common issue with this monitor.

Please try the following (credit rodger527):
  1. First you have to remove the back plastic plate and four countersunk screws - this removes the monitor stand.
  2. To remove the the front silver plate, you wedge a screwdriver at the top center of the screen , and work your self downwards and outwards in both directions
  3. As described below, locate the toroid's solder joints underneath pcb board, heat the joint(s) up with a low wattage soldering iron ( Weller or anything else).
  4. A little serviceman's trick in removing solder, heat the joint up and then add solder (60/40 -7 Multicore or better) like a welding stick (plenty of resin near the affected joints), when hot then use your solder (Soldapullt or something similar) and take off the solder (the resin does a wonderful job in the removing the solder).
  5. Check the condition of the tinning on the torrid leads, if okay then re-solder but if tarnished use a knife and clean them.
Resoldering the following coils usually fixes this problem:

I have a HP monitor model f2105, screen is black

Have you recently installed a new video card? If not then you need to because the one you have is broke. If you can plug in another screen to see if that works and if it does then you should re-install the software (if any) that came with the new screen. If you need anything else please let me know.

AOC 17" LM725 TFT - cannot get any sound from the screen speakers

Ok what I need to know is if with the screen cable that goes to the back of your computer if there is an additional cable colored green if so you need to plug that into the back of your computer and then you should have sound. If there is no sound then please click on the sound icon at the bottom right of the screen and open up the mixer and see what device you have selected for the sound to go out of. If you have the option to please select the playback device that would go to your screen. If that doesn't work then contact customer support for your screen and see what they can do for you. Let me know if this help.

How to open the back cover of the LCD monitor

Hi..there,
It's seems you got a backling inverter busted. Need to replaced a new one or repaired it. To repaired you need to replaced a bad capacitors with a bulged on top of each caps. Not sure...just replaced all the caps...:) Ok! to open the back cover, there are 2 types to open it. First unscrew the 4 corner screws. If there are some... First type it from the back. After you had removed all the screws. Get a good grip on the bottom R/H side with both hands pulling as hard as you can on the 2 joints. 2nd type from the front bezel. Laid your monitor screen upward and placed a piece of clothes to proctect the screen from smudged. Used 2 hands to lifted up the edged of a bezel...do the same on the other side... After that just removed the screws...and that's how to open the front and back cover... Have a nice day!

CRT in CNC machine

could be a multitude of problems. first, check that the cathode heater is glowing. then check that the getters are still silver (indicates vacuum leak) then test for anode voltage (high voltage probe required). if all of the previous tests pass, you should at least have a dot on screen. if not, then signal is not getting to tube (cathode). test cathode connector (disconnect with power off) with o-scope.

AOC spectrum 7 Glr ?

Hi,

Initially, I would suggest that you do a full reset, that is unplug the monitor from the mains and the PC for a couple of hours (preferably overnight). The idea is that the monitor will reset itself to default factory settings. Thereafter try again.

Should problem persist, pls post back.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
