The screen darkens slightly, then

hi this sounds like the monitor is going into sleep mode, what is happening is that if it is not used for a bit, and there is no screen saver, the monitor will shut itself down, to change this, go to control panel, then power options, double click that, in the menu you will see at the bottom, turn off monitor, turn off hard disks, what you need to do is click the arrow to the left on that menu and choose never at the bottom of the list, you can also do this for the hard drive if you need to do so, then just save changes, and hopefully that should be cured...hope that helps

Changing wep to wap

Sounds like this is more of a networking issue, rather than a monitor issue.

Do you actually need to change the WEP passkey, or do you just need to know it? On most routers/modems, they will print it for you on the bottom of the case, on a sticker. You can then enter that into your computer to connect.

My AOC screen goes black after about a few seconds after booting.

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer or service center within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

No display

Envision monitor works on poewr but doesn't continue.
From the Envisiondisplay.com website's FAQ:

Q The power light of my monitor is on and the color is amber, but there is no video or display. What is the cause of this? A Your computer may be in screen saver mode, it has instructed the monitor to go to power saving mode, or the the monitor's video cable is not properly connected to the computer. Another possible cause of this is a locked-up or in-operative computer since the computer is what supplies the monitor with all the display data or information. Move the mouse or press a key to de-activate the screen saver or power saving mode. Check the monitor's video cable and make sure it is snugly connected to the computer. To see if the computer is operating properly, press the CAPS LOCK key on the keyboard repeatedly while checking the CAPS LOCK light. If the light is not turning ON & OFF, the computer is non-functional. Contact your computer manufacturer for help.

Hello there when I connect it

Hi. Have you tried plugging in the LCD monitor to different computer? If it gets the same problem then it could be something in the LCD is having the problem. Possible burnt capacitor that prevents the LCD for getting the display. Is there any smell of burnt at the back of the LCD?

How do u get to the menu on my aoc lcd monitor

hi

Depending on the brand and model of your monitor, there may be extra features that require special troubleshooting tips, or there may even be alternate ways of troubleshooting basic problems. For this reason, it is important to keep your user manual.

If you have come across an issue with your LCD monitor that cannot be corrected through the basic settings, you should consult the user manual to determine troubleshooting solutions for your specific monitor.

For example, The AOC 175F LCD monitor features a 90-degree rotating display, which, in order to rotate correctly within Windows XP, must have AOC's third-party software installed. This is not something required of all LCD monitors, as not all LCD monitors offer a rotating display.

If the troubleshooting section of your user manual still does not solve the problem, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer's support team (via phone or web) to discuss what is wrong with your monitor

Check the power cable or swap it with another for testing purposes, check the pc's power supply and make sure it is delivering power to the monitor, use a multimeter and set it to V voltage to do the testing. Also the power supply inside the monitor may be faulty or bad, power outtages can do that.

I purchased a new computer and after hooking

Double check that you have the speaker cable plugged into the proper jack (audio out - green) on the computer. Make sure that the audio hasn't been muted and that it is set for the correct output type (if you have a multi-channel audio option).

Try a standalone set of speakers to check if the audio driver for the on-board audio or sound card is working.

I hope this helps.

(I've found that the integrated speakers will fail before the monitor does. Since the integrated speakers are low-end and similar speakers are fairly cheap, get new speakers of a quality you like. Repairing the speakers isn't worth it.)

I have an AOC 22

You may have lamp failure due to poor soldering works at the end of the lamps or bad inverter ciruits for the lower lamps. You may have to open it up and inspect the inside to see if you can see any bad caps (bulging top/seal), burnt or over heated parts, poor solder joints on the PCB, etc. See common monitors failure pictures for guide: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

My AOC Monitor turns black and the power indicator turns orange

That means the monitor's not getting a signal from the computer. Do you know for sure that the computer is starting up properly? Have you tried another monitor to test the computer? Is the monitor cable securely connected at both ends?

Even if the monitor is bad, you should still hear something (usually a single beep after the power-on tests finish) from the computer when it starts up. I suspect you have computer problems.
