If your keypad is connected to your control board by a flat ribbon wire, try disconnecting it and clean the silver contacts with an ordinary pencil eraser. After cleaning, plug it back in and try it. If it doesn't fix it, replace the keypad unit. Some units actually have keypad tests to confirm your diagnosis of a bad key.If your keypad and control is the same unit, replace that unit. Another note, unlike stove/oven keypads and controls, most microwaves do not have error codes or tests to distinguish whether it is truely the keypad or control. Most of the time, it is the keypad that needs replacing, but a small percentage of the time it can be the control. Check the tech sheet if they can point you to the right part.

The problem most likely is a faulty magnetron which produces microwave energy to heat the food.

Since the timer works it means that the defect is in the magnetron or its power source. They can be replaced, but only by a repairman: because of the extremely high tension (over 5,000 volts) specially insulated tools must be used. A new magnetron will cost around $125, the labor to install it another $100. If you can buy a new oven for less than $400 then it's time to junk this one, it's not cost effective to put so much money to fix a really used one.

This is likely the CHILD LOCK feature of your microwave whish is engaged.

Try holding down the CLEAR / OFF button or the RESET button for 5 seconds in order to disable it.

Since you did not provide a model number, you will have to check your own User's Manual for the exact detailed instructions if required.

The oven is tripping the circuit because it is pulling to many amps.

Best thing to do is get an electrician to install a larger amp circuit for you. This will fix the problem and should be cheaper than another stove.
