Power supply or fuse is shot most likely. You can use a voltmeter and test power coming from power supply to main board. Some units use a high voltage transformer instead of a power supply. You can get parts at tigerdirect.com

Check your connections to the PC. Make sure that they are nice and secure. If there is a resolution problem setting it should display the boot process and then go blank after starting the operating system.
Monitor times out and wont come back on.
Try this settings:
Click on Start | Control Panel | Power Options.
In the Power Option properties window, click on the Power Schemes Tab
Set the Turn off Monitor/ Turn off Hard Disks option when on Power (and also Battery for laptop users) to Never.
Now click on the Save as... button and assign a name to this power scheme... Let us call it 'Presentation' and then click on OK.
That's it congrats!

Monitor problem, it turn-off in few minutes
The only thing i can think of is that you either get it repired if still in warranty, or a replacement. Depending what you want, I actually recommend second hand if on a budget, or 1 with a warranty if you have enough
Yep mine too, I have no green light only flash and pop sounds.
Hello,
It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors
will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called
capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are
good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work
fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and -
connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the
same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.
I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Off and On display
I am assuming this is on a desktop and not a laptop. Might be an overheat issue. If it runs for a certain amount of time then shuts off, that is a tell-tale sign of overheating of some critical component inside. So, either something is making it overheat, or the component is weak enough that it is unstable in the environment it is in.
Green blocks on screen
Try and update the video card. also make sure that it is installed correctly pull it out and reseat it make sure the power wire is also plugged in
Monitor problems
The power supply has probbably blown. Not repairable by unskilled labour unless you would like to check the fuse which is a little round black item near the area where you plug the unit into mains. be careful when removing the back cover. first the screws then it unclipps from the grey front frame. do not put pressure on the screen itself. It may damage. Good luck, Kind Regards Justin (Justronics S.A.)
