Samsung SyncMaster 151 N 15" LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
My samsung sync master 151
Try turning off the power to the monitor and the computer, check all the cables and power it all back up again. If the monitor is still black, try plugging it into another computer or into a laptop and see if it works there. If it does work, then the problem is the video card in the computer. If it is built into the mother board, then you can disable it in the bios setup and buy a PCI or AGP video card on eBay to plug into *********** board.

Fainted image on screen
ltaufer, My best guess is monitor has partial shutdown of the internal "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter supply that lights-up the fluorescent lamps that provide WHITE LIGHT so you can see all the pretty colors on the LCD glass panel. Your monitor falls into the BLACK screen failure type. (no backlight) Full shutdown mode=BLACK and BLANK. Read more of my FIXYA profile to discover all the options you have to get it repaired and not ripped-off. Your CCFL backlit LCD monitor no different than any other brand of LCD in it's basic design and operational principals. Read, read, read!!! You must find out two things first. Not just WHAT failed, but also WHY it failed. Follow the links in my profile to other web sites!! Livio, This is my response #200 on fixya dealing mostly (98 percent) with BLACK screen problems. If you find this response helpful, please return to rate it in a few days. 12fixlouie

How to fix pink colur screen on sync master 794 mg samsung
The connecting cable or the video card would be the first suspects. Try a different cable to connect the monitor first, if there is no change, the video card in the computer would be second to look at. Can simply connect a different monitor to your computer to troubleshoot this. If the testing monitor works, it will be the graphics card that is the issue.

Vga connection to the mother board
If your motherboard doesn't have a VGA connection, then that means it most likely does not have an integrated video card. If this is the case, then you will have to purchase and install a video card. It is very easy and your local Best Buy should be a great resource. The geeks there are usually very enthusiastic about explaining how to do it. I use to order from newegg.com, but they have become very commercialized and overpriced, like Best Buy. You can check tigerdirect.com or my favorite Amazon.com. Best Buy will price match any items they sell, including those on Amazon. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at
