The screen seems to be slowly turning white.

More than likely a manufacture defect. If it is not that old; I suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it replaced. Most LCD"s have 1 year warranty, and it's certainly, not weird to see 3 years.

Sound does not work

We need to find first if the problem is in the monitor or in the sound card in the PC (hopefully you have the audio cable hooked up correctly, Green audio line out of PC goes to green audio line in of the monitor). Try feeding it with MP3 player or sound source to see if you get the sound or not and go from there, please post back. If it is bad amplifier in the monitor, you will be better off putting money toward Good powered speakers that will have 100% better sound than the tiny speakers inside the monitor that sound like tinned can.

When I try to turn the BenQ FP71E 17

Since Dell monitors are made by BenQ, please look at Dell photo albums.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed DELL monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

if the monitor turn white but the power light is stay on with green, then probably the back light tube was defective, and it will happen randomly in beginning and getting worse after while.

You need to open it up and inspect the PCB for bad solder connection or over heated components. BenQ made monitors for Dell, so look at some pictures of failed Dell monitors here to get some ideas what could have gone wrong with your monitors, post back what you see so we can guide you further: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Screen goes white

Try opening the monitor up, and checking for bad solder joints on the VGA connector. This is actually a relatively common problem, when the monitor gets hot from use, the solder joint begins to fail until it cools down again.

FP71E+ screen gone pink

If it works fine on another monitor, I'd be inclined to suspect that the inverter is failing, or, you have a loose or damaged connection from the laptop to the screen. It is also possible that the screen backlight is failing. I'd be inclined to suspect the last one as the problem

Screen auto changes black when conecting

try resetting the brightness control and checking to make sure that the printer cable is securely connected to the computer and the monitor. Your monitor cable may also have a crack or broken wire in it or the connection itself may have come loose.
Try plugging in an external (borrow a friends if necessary) monitor just to check and make sure that the connection on your computer is good and that the problem is not in the wiring of your LCD screen. There are several other things that may help you, let me know if you are still having problems.

My monitor turns white when i turn it on every

Your monitor is about to go out. It may be a faulty bulb if an older monitor or if a newer one which utilizes a plasma or lcd screen, the liquid crystals maybe going bad or the light source could be going bad as well. When LCD's or Plasmas start going bad, the best bet is to get a new one because to fix one is almost as expensive as purchasing a newer one.
