Please please please DO NOT spray anything in to the camera. The problem is that the main drive belt is slipping or the motor is tired and the mechanism is not completing the unload cycle. This is a trivial repair for an experienced camera tech. The belt should not be more than a couple of $$. The rubber has dried up a bit and is now a little slippery. I have had the same problem since I purchased mine 4 years ago and it has been repaired 3x and is in the shop for a 4th. I had the extended warranty and Futureshop refuses to acknowledge that it is a Lemon and should be replaced as they don't consider resoldering wires as a "repair". Hi, Please first make sure that there is nothing within the video camera that was accidentally lodged into the space where the tape would fit. Also, please double check that you're orienting the video tape properly when inserting it into the video camera. I would also test different tapes to see if the issue is consistent. Also, you might have to rewind each tape because I think if the tape is at it's end, then it automatically leads to the tape being spit out. Thank you.

This could be caused by a lot of things. Recording tape oxidizes over time and loses its range and ability to store information. There is nothing you can do about that. Another thing could be the heads in the device being dirty or out of alignment or needing to be demagnetized.
